Hey whats up dudes.

Ok here's the problem. I let my friend have a copy of my halo and he went to go play on the internet and all it ever says is negoiting connetion then it fails. And when we create a game no one can join.

I know it's not the disc and his computer can defiently handle the game. He has comcast high speed internet and neither him nor myself can discover why. Now I don't know squat about computers but he knows a lot and he thinks it is the built in firewall. And since the firewall is built into it(The actual internet program or whatever it is) he can't figure out what to do.

Does anyone know why else it wouldn't connect or know how to kill a firewall?

Thanks ahead of time

Halo isnt really ment to play internet on multiple computers. But if you have norten or somthing, disable it. and try to connect to a internet search with his computer. It might just notbe able to. Ifthat doesnt work go to control panel and windows firewall if applicable. disable it completely. maybe in your wildest dreams it might work.

hope that helps

I don't think Halo will work with a burnt disk it needs the original, there something on there that doesn't go over with the original. It definately won't let both of you play at the same time. Tell your friend to go to Walmart and buy it for $20.

No I tried it with my disc and it still had the same problems.

I reinstalled with my disc and everything.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Computer: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz

ATi Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition
Display Type: LCD Resolution: 1680 x 1050 Depth: 32-bit Color

Does each computer have its own Halo serial number? If both were installed with your original serial number, you may have to de-install one and re-install it with the new serial number that came with the new disc.

If it says "negotiating connection with server" and just times out, it's a router or firewall issue. Allow Halo to connect to the internet and forward ports 2302 and 2303 in your router. (www.portforward.com for more info if you don't know how to do this)

That should do the trick.
