If the halos destroy all life within the galactic sentai...and if the first halo was destroyed...why not move as many humans as possible near that first destroyed ring?

I mean like its not like its going to activate or anything, so i think its safe to be there.
where humanity could start over, while the covies wipe themselves out dumbly enough.

I agree. The humans should create a large space station out of one of the moons of Mars (maybe Deimos?) and go to where Delta Halo currently is. I mean, I'm sure nothing bad can happen on a space station like that...

Hmmm. You'd need a big AI to run the computers on a station like that. Maybe more than one. Heck, might as well go with three. And you'd be racing to get there before someone sets off the other Halos, right? We could name the station Sprint! Wait, Bungie might get sued. What's another kind of footrace?

Colonizing in space is what got us to war with the covenant in the first place. If we could destroy the remaining rings and the flood that they contain, then we could save humanity. That would also give us more Halo games to look forward to. A new game per ring. I'm just dreaming though.

I agree. We should try to terraform Threshold (the planet by Alpha Halo)and use it as a new home. There are still untouched colonies in UNSC-controlled space to populate such a move. It angered me to find out the Covenant have taken over Earth. It seems MC's been fighting these big battles for nothing.

i don't know, i think the fact that earth is covie controlled might make the game that much better. many people prefered the halo:CE story over the halo 2 story, and i think it's mainly because you felt like you were screwed and fighting a desperate battle. where with halo 2 you were with you soldiers, practically every step of the way with consistent weapon drops and cache's. i think earth being ruined and infested will set a great tone for this game. i can't wait to play it.

the great thing about halo CE was you didnt know what was going on...i mean..halo 2 was predictable bungie covered that up with the arbiter
and as for saving humanity threshold is a GAS giant so not much hope there

the best way to save humanity from the covenant is to learn their ways and mate with their women. after time our differences will work themselves out.

but seriously speaking i don't think running would help anything. regardless of where you would go the covenant is all over space. like one of the earlier posts said deep space exploration is what started this whole thing between earth and covenant.

i agree that it probably would be safe by the halo that blew up if the covent set off the other halos ,but first, it would take a hell of a long time to build a space station that huge, or even a small one for that matter, and time does seem to be kind of important, and even if it wasn't, i know they dont have 40 years to spare. And secondly, how do they know that the covenent arn't there still, if the halos are like the most important religious artifact in the world for them then there probably still going through the wreckage and gurading it from everybody else. Like, if a church blew up christans would go through the wreakage and take every little bit of artifact they could find, they wouldn't just be like ' well that sucks, lets go over here"

Considering that when H2 ended Earth still had 298 mac guns left, then how the hell did the covenant manage to take Earth over so quik and they sure managed to uncover the Ark pretty quik so what would be the use of making a big station on the ring or near it when the covenant could just destroy that to because as the humans found out you cant run from them no matter where you go or hide.

Goin maraton sounds like a good idea makin the master chief security chief genius no one would se it comin its so simple its out there.

also i remember reading the rings are suposed to beef each other up giving them larger range they all reinforce each others signal - mi mite be wrong not sure

And then we take 10 Spartans, mind-wipe them and have them living amongst the crew of that moon-ship-station thingie.

Except for the MC, we'll make him like chief of security... yeah, the Security Officer. That'd be cool.

I think with the start of a new life, they should make a few changes too. The U.N.S.C just feels so old, y'know? Maybe...

Maybe the U.E.S.C. Because, like, with the Covenant threat we're now a United Earth. There's no reason to be fighting each other. Yeeeah.

we didn't destroy all of delta halo. their are still large chunks of it left.covenant could be overun and the flood could just fly out of halo and destroy humanity. Personally....i hope this does not happen....so bungie people....that is my idea.....if it is right then i am gonna get my lawyer....personally i wish for halo to be a open ended game....to let your mind wander around every singlen posibillity without actually telling you what one is right....Ps: Marty 0 donnel if you music doens't rock then you'll have a trip to jail....the laywers are on my side.....Bt seriously....we all loved your music in all the halo's and we dont want yoiu to -blam!- up this time....so please......rock our eardrums off!.

OR rather UCSC United Colonies Space Command. You got to remember that there's more than just Earth now.

What about plunging a Space Station with a stable atmosphere into a Gas Giant like Jupiter or Saturn. The covenant would never look there and I don't think that you can glass a Gas Giant.

Maby there are no inhabitable planets near the first halo ring. You could built a space station but you cant live on that for ever.

Well, first you kind of have to know if the Halos' ranges over lap each other because if I were the forerunners I'd make sure that if the flood destroyed a ring the plan wouldn't fail.
