If there's one thing I hate about Halo, it's lag. If the game showed actual ping as a number I would be happier. I like knowing what my ping is as it dramatically changes the game.

One thing that bugs me is that the developers felt the need to ruin the game by adding unnecessary, bad features. They actually thought "rather than letting people know their ping, we'll turn it into a bar and show it as that". It's retarded. Show me the numbers!

Que Custodiet Ipsos Custodes

--Tea-baggers are funny, it's as if they think they are far more hetero than the people who do it in real life, because they use their e-ballsacks to do it. What a manly victory dance.

Jitter matters more than ping in a lot of cases. And I'm not sure how the bars show ping if the host will see one set of connection bars, and everyone else will see a matching (different) set.

Ping is incredibly vital in FPS. I don't live in USA so I don't always have a great ping. I always seem to get splattered by ghosts because even though I've jumped over them, the host says I haven't and so I die. I have to actually jump significantly before it gets to me if I want to jump over it, and if the player is smart and does a fake charge (by boosting as if he's goign to splatter me then stopping) then I'm toast.
