Subject: Crimson Love

No, I'm not perfect, but I have the feeling you're the kind of person who is used to meeting imperfect people on the internet.

My daughter was born 2/15, and in preparation for the event, I charged up the iPad and downloaded the first couple chapters of Crimson Steam Pirates.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. Now, if my daughter needs rocked to sleep, or someone had to stay up and watch her at night, I just kept the ipad close and picked and put down Crimson as needed.

Thank you guys for a solid game that's great for stopping and going when a parent needs.

who knows Guywiired, maybe she may follow in her family's footsteps and play Crimson Steam Pirates when her child needs to be attended to while sleeping.

i doubt anyone will be playing this game in the year 2031 or whatever year she has a child in, nor will anyone know this game even existed lol considering how successful it was when compared to BUNGiE's previous franchise. maybe thats the reason why the Halo forums are still active, to keep the game forums alive.

ahahahahahaha - oh how the trolling has boiled over... I see another couple of children who don't get enough attention from their parents either!

My daughter is doing just fine at home with mama while I slave away at my desk. Thanks for your concern!

Crimson Steam Pirates though, has been worth every penny. Can't wait to see what future chapters have in store!

"don't get enough attention from their parents either" ... guess you SHOULD know ... but after your OP claims, and then the "at home with mama" (yeah, guess it is HER job now, dont want her getting fat again like she did over the last 9 months).

Classic stuff ...how did you think your attitude would be received?

Much like you, I don't care about how my attitude would be received. Especially not by a troll who came out swinging at the OP.

If you're lucky, someday you'll be a parent.. You'll know how to play Crimson while your child sleeps on your chest, and you'll laugh when a troll flames you about it.

GLO Is Back,

Last night, with both kids, my wife and the cats asleep...

I snuck into the bathroom, sat on the toilet.. and played Crimson Steam Pirates for an hour between 1 and 2 am.

It was epic, I loved it, and the whole time I could feel you seething.

It added this extra flair to releasing my broadside volley on the British fort I was sailing by.

Thank you for contributing positively to that experience.

good to see BUNGiE's latest game wasn't an absolute failure, now there's another way to keep ourselves entertained while using the loo

Just wait for whatever Destiny is, then she may lose her father completely!

I agree though, Crimson can get very addictive.

ahhhh - what has bungie.net become??!!

Found a thread in the reach forum running the same stories I left over 9 months ago ... too sad.

'Try the newer forums' I thought ... and what do we find here, some guy creating his own blog space about his toilet habits and questioning parenting skills (sorry dude, tend to agree with the other replies).

And whats with the self made replies - you quoting someone off a different thread?!?

The guy I was replying to had his posts deleted for trolling. It may look like I'm posting to myself.. or blogging as you put it, but they were valid replies to his being a jerk for giggles.

I wonder what forum he got that from?

wow ... how many of the other replies did you report?

TBH, I only reported the ones where he was a jerk to me, there were plenty of other people he was being a jerk to though, and I didn't report those.

And then there were even more where I liked what he said, he was being informative, and NOT being a jerk. Why couldn't he post like that more often?

At the end of the day though, his sig on his profile page read something like "how many profiles do I have to make?" I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him. He'll make a new profile and get back to trolling in no time, you'll see.

Not about to buy into over reporting ... but suspect it would be seen as being against the forum rules by abusing the reporting system ... but guess he also has the option to do the same to your posts when he returns.

I guess you are only abusing the automatic system ... so not wasting the forum mods time ... but "interesting" way of managing any posts you dont like.

meh, there's not liking a post for what it says, and not liking a post for how it says it.

You get your stuff deleted and your account banned for the latter, not first.

I would say the results speak for themselves. These forums aren't as automated as you might think.

really?

HA, well it's more about reporting the post, than the person.

I have no ill will toward either profile in any case. Just a matter of keeping it clean.

(though I had my suspicions)

Back on topic: I bought the third chapter a few days ago and I'm now about half way through it.

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun.

And I realize that the thread is missing some important personal information from me. Not that it really concerns you all with how I parent my children... BUT.

My new born daughter has infant acid reflux. So she sleeps better vertical than on her back. To accomplish this, I sit up, with her sleeping against my chest. It allows me to hold her while she sleeps, with one hand; and play Crimson on the iPad with my other hand.

I would get you all a picture of the set up, except I'm only really doing this when everyone else is asleep, and I don't have a third hand to operate a camera.

I know.. I'm such a horrible papa.. come at me, kid.
