Subject: WHY do teh mods think the community is immature?

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I don't know and I don't care.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

repotted? Is that suppose to be funny?

Half of what I say is true. The other half are also lies.

Last week I saw a 100 post topic in the flood about a sonic boom. Most of the replies were "repotted".

What's your point.

Apparently someone misspelled reported several months ago and someone else brought it back for some unknown reason to me. I'll even find the thread and put it in here.

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

I'll tell you why no one takes us seriously, it was that...

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I don't think that they believe that we're all immature.

What I'm asking YOU, is what does that have to do with my earlier post, the one that you quoted.

Hmm..? Oh, someone brought it back and everyone latched on to it trying to be cool or whatever.

Here, I found it.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

From experience, this.

It is not even that, people here are really immature.

But not in the fun immature, more in the "I don't know when to stop being a jerk immature".

I can't tell if this thread is about user maturity, the Community forum, the Flood, or how dangerous the items to users left are.

OP, you're probably going to need to clear up your main point in order to get any sort of answer. Why do you feel that the moderators feel that the community is immature? Are there particular areas or locations?

Unless this thread gets sorted out, it seems that it needs to be handled.

There are immature people in every forum. Frankly I like having fun, posting memes, etc. But there are many people who try to be "a jerk" or "a troll" (well, if they are a bad troll). Those are the immature people who get on my nerves.

When a mod comments at the end of a thread right before he locks it they always say something along lines of I know where this is going...already assuming it's going down the gutter

And like I said earlier, they already know because they've seen it happen before. They don't need to watch a thread take a particular direction before taking action if they've already dealt with it in the past. They're better suited for judging the community due to experience.

When someone says the community is immature, don't accept it! Show them what the community is truly capable of! Show us all new levels of immaturity!

OK. Just to be sure, you're saying that, when moderators make such a post, they are assuming that the thread is going to end up needing locked, and thus are assuming that the community is too immature to handle themselves?

I'm not making a judgement on your comment yet. Just making sure that's the point you're trying to make.
