Ok - now that I have everyone's attention.... as a person that has only recently started playing multiplayer, I can understand what everyone is so "up" about where it comes to how incredible Halo 2's multiplayer maps are going to be. BUT, as a person who has enjoyed playing over and over, the regular single player, I wanna know more about how the single player is going to work. What it feels like... more of the story line, graphics from it, etc, etc... I'm a bit concerned that Bungie has or is in the process of forgetting the single player action. Somebody tell me that's not the case... It's been a long time since bungie has truly said a freaking thing about single player...

Believe me, we all want to know about single more too. But this recent stuff has been the only real material on multi that been released by bungie. and every one's excited about multi because thats the lasting part of the game.

look bungie is doin single player two belive me. why would u want them to release the storyline they dont want to release it its beter for them to just show us the features through multiplayer so they dont ruin the storyloin eor anything else. that is all i think. I think most of us bungie fans expect to much from them i mean any other game would not have given near this much info this far away from the release. and yes i know it has a huge hype and that is why but still let bungie work dont worry single player will be fine

I dunno. I have been playing Halo 1 for over a year and I keep getting deeper into it. Legendary Rocks a**, and the story once you read the books is actually pretty complax. It's just really cool cuz you are seeing only the tip of the iceberg. For instance there were others on Halo that you never interacted (so says some bungie rep). They probably were the ones who released the flood. I heard quite a few things about the halo 2 plot but I don't want to spoil it for anyone... unless you want (it all come from the promo videos and the books though)...

Bungie said in the newest Pete Parsons Interview on Teamxbox.com, that they are focused on Single-Player most of all. They wan't to tell the Halo story in the best way possible.

When the guy asked him: "So, Halo 2 will be out on November 9th?"

He responded something lke this: I can't guarantee that, we want to be able to tell the story as best we can, even if that means delaying it.

This was not exactly what he said, but it is the idea that he put out.

MOST EXCITING WEEK OF HALO 2 SINCE THEY FIRST MENTIONED THEY WERE MAKING THE GAME? BS, that stands for BULL -blam!-! YEAH, that was the crapiest E3 showing every! THE FREAKING INTRO VIDEO THEY RELEASED WAS MORE EXCITING THEN THE CRAP THEY SHOWED ON MONDAY! WHAT THE HECK? MOST EXCITING? MOST EXCITING? Bungie should have skipped E3 and got back to work so they can release it sooner! Because that was the biggest waste of time if you ask me! Franky's weekly update is more exciting then E3!

COME ON FRANKY, you better come up big!

I loeved the E3, it had a small "tutorial" (more like a show off of whats new), and 20 seconds of actual real gameplay, which is really cool, as for the single player, they have been including stuff about it from the single player (eg. creating animations for new covenant, changing how AI reacts on big moving peice of enviroment..) and the stuff about "multiplayer" isnt really about multiplayer, eg. working on duel wielding... working on balancing weapons, not so much as, working on making MP levels, or making new mode for multiplayer.... (even though they probably have)

listen. bungie is the MASTER of single player going back into PiD and most of all marathon. if marathon was for PC, i would be playing it and not replaying the halo levels. (i love the terminals).

Maybe the point of E3 was just to confirm to us some of the things that were going to be in the game. Ghost stealing, dual weilding, plasma sword, 4+ X-Boxes, destructable environments, and whatever else there was. Maybe they are working to make what they have even better.

If you want to pass along any of that storyline - I can tell you that knowledge will NOT be released - you can send it to sentinel1961@yahoo.com. I guess in general, I understand what everyone is saying regarding not worrying about single palyer in Halo 2 - my biggest point is... I am concerned that so much emphasis has been placed on multiplayer that for the multiplayer, it'll be a kick butt game, but for those of us who PREFER to play the solo campaign, it will not be as detailed or as incredible an experience as multiplayer will be and frankly, if it's a heavy or 100% multiplayer game, I won't buy it. I know that sounds harsh, but I hope the point is understood. Granted, Bungie isn't going to go under if one person fails to buy Halo 2, but, I just hope that Bungie realizes Halo was sold primarily on the FPS Single Player element - and that Halo 2 should be as strong or stronger. I don't want to sound like a bigot or idiot - just someone who likes to play games with strong story lines and excellent and repeatable play. Thanks for everyones comments!

Bungie has said time and time again that creating and developing the story of Halo further is their number one priority. It is also their most secret and protected. That is why they showed none of it at this years E3, they want us to be completly left inf the dark, and frankly scarlett, i don't give a damn. Very few people(if any) outside of that studio knows about how the story will unfold. Look for something spectacular like you've never seen before.

P.S. Bungie has guaranteed a November 9th release date.

Even though i am pumped about the multiplayer in Halo 2 i am more concerned about the single player. Wish they would release some more videos of it.
