Why are humans reclaimers? Why does the "oracle" seem to recognize the chief when he meets him? And why is the arc on Earth (assuming that it is, and I'm fairly certain that it wil be). Well, I think it's simple. I think way back in the day, the forerunners, overcome by the flood, decided to eradicate all sentient life in the galaxy with an exception in mind. They left a capsule (or whatever) on their home planet, which I believe to be earth, containing the necessary ingredients to revitalize the forerunner race, which became known as the human race, after enough time had passed. Wouldn't that be a simple direction to take? Now all you obsessives who read the books and what-not, tell me why I'm wrong.

....and the elites cant be reclaimers?

btw, this has been discussed numerous times. please search for threads

I don't think so. I think it has to be human. I've never heard the oracle refer to an elite as a reclaimer, and I KNOW the brutes aren't reclaimers. I could be wrong, though.

And i did search the threads. I didn't see anything.

well they've never been in the position now have they?

didnt the arbiter go and attempt to obtain the sacred icon before the humans? wouldnt that make him a, "reclaimer" ?

"There are those who said this day would never come. What are they to say now?" -Prophet of Truth (Halo 2)

You only can "reclaim" what you had before. Humans are the forerunners plain and simple.

Not strictly true, Dictionary definition of reclaim. Pay particular attention to number 3.

Just because we are reclaimers doesnt mean we are forunners remember in the 100,000 years since the rings went off, not only have we evolved, (meaning we were saved from the destruction) but the elites prophets all of them. the arc bible terms wise was use to save some of every kind of creature, pehaps forunners created us and the cov species the same way they created the flood trying to be god figures who knows, i only know that bungie do, and when they tell us and show us it will be AWWSSOOMMEE

On the level "sacred icon" on Halo 2. When you first face a sentinel enforcer and have to activate the platform. Look at the console in which you activate the platform with.
