This is off subject but the other forums are praticly empty. but i need to know this....

Why does Gravemind save MC and the Arbiter and let them go if gravemind is bad?

Why does gravemind want the index?

What good is the index for Gravemind?

THANKS!!!

Facts are the enemy of tru7h....

The gravemind doesn't want the rings activated because it would kill all the floods food and they wouldn't be able to spread. He'd have to go into hibernation until new species evolve.

He did it for his own interests....

He saves them becuase he knows that he can use them to stop Truth from activating the Halos

Why does gravemind want the index?

If he has the index Halo can;t be activated.

If you needed to know it then you shouldn've posted it in the right forum.....make the title in caps if you were desperate, because people won't answer impatient stubborn twankers. Not addressing you though.

You are not a forum ninja/moderater, stop trying to be one, every post I see of yours is trying to correct things and using really lame sarcasm and copping an attitude with people, If something is wrong with the thread then let the mods fix it, otherwise contribute to it or dont post at all.

To the topic starter, gravemind wanted the index so the halo could not be activated, he would keep it and guard it so no one could take it, he was using chief and arbiter to find it for him. He is still a bad guy.

I have been saying this for a while.

Why would he not hold the Flood back until they stopped Tarturus.

I have heard it was only a diversion but that is stupid.

Yeah so maybe it was a diversion, let's just say. So he had the Flood hamper the MC and the Arbiter so they could maybe not get to the Index in time if at all.

I somehow think Gravemind doesn't need hosts to survive. He almost looks like a plant the Flood infected. All he needs is an Apple for an earing and he fits in the religious aspect.

Maybe he is a fish from the ocean that was created by the Forerunners. I did notice those sperm looking Floods in H2.

Well assuming that the Gravemind actually controls the Flood (for which there is no actual evidence), it stills wants the flood to grow and spread. So it'd want the flood to attack all the possible hosts it could, especially good warriors who could threaten it. Plus finding the Arbiter and the Chief was lucky happenstance on the Graveminds part. If the Chief or the Arbiter had died it would have been even better for the Gravemind because the could be taken as hosts and directly controlled.

Yes, you already told me this, and obviously since I keep posting similar comments, it's doesnt seem like I care, does it? I don't think that I'm a mod, and I don't try to be, so pleh.

If you don't care, why'd you reply to make sure he knew that you didn't care? HA!

If it was better for the Gravemind that they were dead so that they could be taken as hosts, then why didn't he kill them and take them as hosts?

Like i said, it came across both the Arbiter and the Chief by happenstance. It saw an opportunity to use them to his advantage. If they succeeded, fine, if they didn't that'd be fine too. The Gravemind doesn't care about simply assimilating individuals, whats the point of consuming two when there are millions out there.
