"all i wanna is why bungie is'nt baning any of the de-levelers that is as much cheating as any thing these people got banned for STANDBYING OR MODDING do you think its fair that a "35-40" "legit" as thay say cant win any more so hast to de-level so thay can win agen.......... WHAT ABOUT THEM!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON BUNGIE IF YOUR GONNA BAN CHEATERS BAN UM ALL AND STOP ACTING ALL GODLY WITH UR BANING POWERS ITS A GAME MADE WITH A COMP. IT CAN AND WILL BE HACKED NO MATTGER WHAT YOU DO!!!!!!!!"

no de leveling is not cheating.... it sayes so on this site.......
also
accounts do get stole... this is not a bad lie... they do...but normal you have to be a huge cheater to get it stole... because they dont have any use for an account that has just like a 37 in slayer.... usualy they will fined one that has like a 50 in every thig

also if you ban there ip it will only take them 2 secconeds to change it....

I admit it, I was the stoler :)

Seriously Bungie, I have to thank you guys so much for the proof that you're trying to clean up the neighborhood. I stopped playing last August because of these kinds of people (the lawyers, the stolers and the grammar professors), mainly because every other game I played in was marred by cheating or screaming 4 year olds who just ruined the gaming experience, you have my thanks, and I may even renew my acount.

Nah, I'll just stole that guys' again...

That was extrimley funny. Some of them did remind me of a friend who had his xbox and credit card stolen from his house and the guy used it to get access to his account and download a but load of stuff off market place. I remember laughing for days after he recounted his story and told about how he had to get a new xbox 360, and new live account and cancel his credit cards. He also called up xbox live support and had his old account banned. We still make fun of him.

do it by MAC address would be better that way if you move into a house or apartment of someone who got banned you would have no problem. But MAC banning would also result in problems of xbox consoles sold to others. there really is no good way other than banning the accounts.

Wow...I just would like to say to that one "Saga Sender" Yeah if you want to know why you got caught...Picture this...if you said
Posted by: -blam!-

well even if i did bridge on –blam!- that didn't give you guys the right to ban –blam!- or –blam!-. Whether you guys think i did or didn't, i know that –blam!- was legit and i had never had mods on my xbox, regardless of what your f'ed up programs say. And as for –blam!-, if you want to ask my friends if I yelled and screamed after every single game then you ask them because i figure it is bull-blam!- that you and xbox live can ban me for something without warning. I was never warned for either account. And plus even if i did do threats or harassment you said it yourself that only one or two things won't get you banned, well then what if the same person complained to you or xbox live more than once for the same threat. What if I had gotten banned for that, do you call that unfair? I am pretty sure that after I had just beaten some kids real bad in a game they just decided to leave some bull-blam!- message and try to get me banned. You can ask my friends, i don't threaten..

On the...2nd line he says,"Whether you guys think i did or didn't, i know that –blam!- was legit and i had never had mods on my xbox." You said 3 accounts were cought and says only 1 was supposedly legit...so that would technically be admitting that you cheated on 2 accounts and that your 'legit' account was most likely the one banned for Threats & Harassment. So yeah...if you don't want to be caught...don't do it, and a suggestion to Bungie(if you can do this): You should find tell Xbox Live to disable the use of -cheater's name here- their credit card and other information in which they could activate another account.

Hey Bungie, I appreciate you posting those emails. Funny stuff! However, in the last week I've been modded/stand-by'd more than ever. I want to believe you guys are doing something about it but it happens so much I can't see stopping it. Maybe H3 will solve it, but where will that leave all the guys still on the old xbox. Just my thoughts...

Good job Bungie, you weed out those filthy cheaters. They ruin the entire Matchmaking experience. It's nice to hear those dirty whiners get what's coming to them. Death to the cheaters.

Someone that works for Bungie, is it better to stay in a game that you are getting moded or is it better to quit that game? Because i've been told that if you stay in the game it is easier for you guys to see that they are cheating. Please tell me!

I heard a rumor today on XBOX Live that any lvl 50 accounts were being deleted... The guy said that Bungie knows that you had to cheat to get to a high lvl like that... Personally I think that is bull-blam!-, but has anyone else heard different...

I really like the letter entitled "Bantha" it was very funny how they misspelled banned three times in a row. And for the 13 year old kid, the game is rated "M" for MATURE. Drop some balls, then buy the game and play legit.

I think we should hold some sort of contest of who can write the best cheater impressionation letter. see how creative one can get coming up with horrible excuses

OMFG THAT IS HILLARIOUS!
i love that you posted those, because it really brightens my day, considering that i ran into 2 modder teams just today. I wouldn't mind seeing those posted more often.
I have a question though, a couple days ago, i was playing matchmaking, and my team won, so we partied up. one of the guys on our team bridged for host everytime.we played about four games. he did not bridge in the common cheating way, but he would use it to get host so we wouldn't get cheated. Is this cheating? I know it sounds a little cliched, the whole "i have a friend" thing, but this is not a lie, my friend does do this, but he is entirely legit ( only lvl 29 ). So if someone could tell me if it is a bannable offense, it would be helpful. because if it isn't, then this could be a fun personal way for us to fight back agains those cheating schmucks.

ps, if bungie really wants to get some modders, it's really just anyone over level 40, with the far and few between 30 and 40 : )

nvm, i just read the post 3rd from top of this page, but oh well, i'll leave this as is..

Intent or purpose is irrelevant. If you are using tools to give yourself an experience that is different than the one that another player would experience when they use the system as designed, then you are violating the ToU and are subject to the penalties outlined in the membership agreement...........

i do not bridge, nor know how to, but i have to say that to bridge host for the sake of saving yourself from cheaters is in no way changing the expirience of the other player. Host is for the most part chosen at random(teamwise). to have host everytime can ensure that you don't get cheated. when i play custom games, usually the same person has host everytime based on connection speed. IT DOESN'T ever bother us, nor do we ever complain to each other. When you are in a legitimate game, host doesn't matter. And if the cheaters are out there waiting 30 minutes at a time to get 1 box host, then i feel we have taken a step forward in limiting the advantages of cheating. like i said in my earlier post, i have played maybe 4 games in which the friend used that bridge trick, and it's not often that i can get 4, legitimate, and well played games in a row once you get into the low to high 30 range. I did not win every one of the four games, proving that there is no difference in gaming experience when their team or my team has host. People sometimes tell me that host has a split second advantage, but i would like to see two teams go into a game, without knowing who has host, and try to figure out who does. It probably won't happen. I'm not complaining about bungies policy, and how you can get banned for bridging to avoid cheating, but I want to point out that it can be effective, and entirely fair. There is no disadvantage to the other team and i feel it could be a good temporary solution that us gamers can do to be able to enjoy our gaming experience until you guys find a solid solution. please give me some feedback on this,

-Thanks-

I really can not understand some people's mentality. I think Bungie is doing an amazing job of brining the Banhammer down on pathetic, un-skilled idiots that believe they are above evryone else because they can cheat.
My point is, remember guys, Bungie has to waste hours of time, money and resources that could easily be spent on another project. This is why i feel that all cheaters are laim and selfish.

So next time any of you wish to complain, just think to yourself, if i did not cheat then i might be playing Halo 3 now, and another Bungie project could be underway to further entertain us.

It's hilarious that when an admin or mod makes a post like this, half of the responses are deperate attempts to suck up to them. People even sometimes resort to grammar to impress Frankie! If you want to be a mod so badly, become a theme master.
