Haha, funny. Reminds me of the days when I played Counter Strike and put up with "hackers".
Anyways, being a noob when it comes to Live, what is modding, bridging, and boosting. No clue what they are, but I'd like to know what to avoid since I'm about to get my first Live account. Definitions?
basically all different ways of maniuplating the map file/connection to cause an unfair advantage for you
bridging: i sold my xbox 360 for undisclosed reasons when this got started, but im pretty sure its a way of changing the host of a game so they can mod easyer...
standby-ing: i think its almost obsolete, but it is a way oc lagging everyone that is playing the game ecept you, (blue screening other players while you can still move)
secondary standby-ing: once again something that im not to familiar of, but i think its when someone tampers with there own connection so they can stand still somewhere to everyone else, but they are moving on there screen, and when it is over, they come back to there body, an easy way of getting the flag in CTF
modding: basically map mods which are the biggest pain in the ass of all, the modder tampers with their map file so they can have a HUGE unfair advantage...so next time when your playing halo 2 and you see a warthog flying by, or someone 3000 feet in the air nailing headshots with a battle rifle, you know that they are modding
boosting: even tho its been going around for ever, im still not to familiar of it, im pretty sure its when 2 groups of people go into matchmaking at the same time, thus fighting each other, and one team loses automatically/quits as soon as the game starts thus boosting up the other peoples levels.
sorry this isnt to helpful i havent played halo 2 in about 5 months, but lucky for me im getting a 360 again soon...and i cant wait to hop back into halo 2
EDIT: whoops forgot to quote the person asking the question my bad :)
