I had an epiphany tonight. WEATHER. What could be more interesting, realistic, and strategically engaging than having to deal with changing weather conditions? It's never been done in an FPS before, and i don't know why. Imagine, though, that your playing with your buds. The moment the match starts, you have do be aware not only of what map your playing on, but if fog will obscure vision and enable shorter-range tactics, or if rain will decrease the acuraccy of weapons. There could be snow or sand storms, blindingly clear days where you could increase your air-to-ground adv. by flying with the sun behind you, and mud formed wich would decrease the traction of vehicles. I think that weather opens SOOOOO many possibilities. It's awsome! And imagine a game where your being PWNED by a wharthog making circles around your base, then all of a sudden you hear a crack of thunder, and your hopes are reborn anew! The wharthog will be "slip-and-slie" from then on in the mud! Meanwhile, the other guys are like "ocrieapitsrainingpoopoowecantsnipcampandriveourwarthoga roundtheirbaseanymore" and your liek "HA." It would make the gameplay dynamic on more levels.
