Subject: Banning Question

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

i agree to that 50% because people sometimes get bridged without knowing and get banend a friend of mine was banned for bridgeing and he wasn't even aware of it

Once a cheat, always a cheat. I hope they carry all the bans given in Halo 2 over to Halo 3. Maybe now you will actually realize that evey action has a reaction ( consequence ). Before you go off and do something stupid, think of what WILL happen if you do it.

Wow, just make another account. I'm not going to lie, I modded at a time. But I didn't realize that I would get banned because I was only playing in customs for filming purposes... :(
Whatever though, I should have read more about it. It cost me my xbox as well.

In order to play Halo 3 you will have to have a 360. It would therfore be advisable to create a new account when you get the 360.

Although I hate cheaters, I think they should have a second chance.....CALM DOWN, I'M NOT FINISHED....Like someone previously said, give them a second chance and let them in the Halo 3 matchmaking, but one strike and they get banned.

Actually that makes a lot of sense. It may not be the right thing to do, but it does make sense. Same reason why I wish I could bridge host so I don't get cheated. I am tired of getting cheated. Level 41 is piss world.

Consequences are cool, ain't they?

Yeah, like when you stay up til 2:00am playing Oblivion and get to sleep on the couch cause your wife is sound asleep and waking her would puncture the space time continuim.

Not that I know anyone like that.

Yes, I am not the only one up till the crack of a new day, becoming the champion of Cyrodiil. Also, don't become a Vampire...More work than the play pays off...

2007 is a long way away.

If (that should be a big IF) you are using the same gamertag/gamercard when Halo 3 is released, I could imagine Bungie "seeding" whatever matchmaking system with known cheating/modding accounts.

Moving to a new state doesn't clean a criminals record. Sort of the same thing.

Consequences are cool, ain't they?

Recon, you're as cool as.....Ice cream in the winter. (Where it is cold). [/no-sarcasm]

I would assume banners would be carried over. Unless H3 has some kind of "You can't mod because of this code" coding, I think they would just get a jump on the modders from the get-go.

I think the bans should go over to halo 3. I mean look at this guy, he says he was done with halo 2 so he decided to cheat, thus ruining the game for other people. You have cheated, knew the consequences, and now you have to bear them. Let this be a lesson.

Sega Mega Drive, Golden Axe and Sonic all day!

level 41? whats the point? not many legit players are above a 40.

instead of modding and joining them, surely you couldve given in matchmaking for a while and played MLG? MLG is fun.

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/PlayerStats.aspx?player=SuBIiMe

he knows how fun MLG is.

Sure, I will not lie, I am banned for having soft mods. I got them because I couldnt play fair anymore due to all the other modders. I know its my fault and that I got what I deserved. Im not complaining about that either, my question is: Do bans carry over to halo 3?? Will I still be banned on H3??

hopefully you will be banned forever. and your way of thinking leads me to say "if your friends jump off a bridge, would you?"

Im sure it is a lesson and yeah I was done with halo 2 due to the modders and bridgers so I figured what the heck why not try it a few times? See what it is like to jump 50 ft in the air Even if I get banned from h2, who cares, im done with this game anyways. But to keep it continued to another game is just crap. I honestly think everyone does deserve a second chance. Maybe everyone else doesnt agree but thats my opinion.

you remind me of a little punk ass kid that gets caught and then tries to rationalize it to your parents. you got to what 40+ range by cheating. So how many people did you ruin the H2 experience for? ever think about that, and now you want to have bungie give you a second chance, where's all the second chances for the ranks and games you ruined, punk ass virgin its just a game not life.

Well said...this is EXACTLY the reason I stopped playing H2 multi-player. I'm not insinuating that I was the ish, cuz I wasn't, but I got damned weary of the cheating. What fun is an on-line experience in gaming where the playing field is cheat based instead of skill based?

You can have all the chances you want. They each cost $49, please take as many as you want.
