Subject: Lack of Sword Block

I've never ever posted in these forums before so if I'm doing something wrong, please alert me :)

I will gladly change/delete/move this thread.

As you all know Reach has had something called the TU: Title Update added to it. Recently anything with TU in it has removed sword cancelling. The most prominent argument I hear against sword cancelling is "it's not physically possible, your arm would be cut off". I do acknowledge that this is probably true, however we must remind ourselves that it is just a game.

What I'd like to state is, in my opinion, sword cancel should not be removed as it does take a bit of skill and timing to accomplish. So you can counteract that guy who runs around with the sword all game. I even find when people sword block me to be rather interesting.

On a side note: Taking out friendly fire on infection has upset a lot of people. And I'm not just talking the random guest that joined just to betray people. I dont know much about programming but I believe to fix that "initial" issue with betraying after you kill a zombie and die would be to have the player respawn as a zombie, not become one as soon as he's killed. Friendly fire was used by long standing infection playing to help a team mate regain ammo.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Post this in the Reach forum.

"I'd have to say Lockout was the worst"

I'm pretty sure that's heresy, and that it conflicts with the "Code of Manliness" - page 792, section E subsection D paragraph 3.2. I suggest you relay that statement.

Sword blocking is more a plausible idea if you consider the blocker to actually be hitting the blockee's fore arm when the blocker melees. I'm up for reasoning most anything.

The Reach forum has been removed. Most current halo related topics are at 343 industries' site.

Apparently you cannot see the button that says GAME FORUMS.

And no, it's not plausible as the double pronged sword covers the sides of the hand with the back of the blades so when you try to hit the hand you're going to hit the blade still, thus, cutting off your hand/arm.

Courtesy is generally appreciated, why the harsh feel yo?

Nope, totally didn't see the game forums button though. I'll edit that out. Also I'll remove the hand and replace it with fore arm.
