I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

OMG SPARTEN CHICKEN!!!111

i heard from some dude the other night that there was gonna be a chick spartan in h3, now i realize that "some dude" is not a very reliable source for info so i was wondering if anyone here had heard about this or knew anything about it.

I have never heard of there being a chick spartan in the games. I have heard many people wanting female spartans which would attually be out of the ordinary for the Halo series so far.

Thats my point. Chick referrs to something like Duke Nukems women. But if you say woman spartan it sounds more respectable which is what the spartans are.

I'd like to see some of the other surviving Spartans in Halo 3, and if they're playable characters then they'd have certain minor advantages, e.g. Linda is more accurate, Kelly runs faster, etc. I know this may have been discussed before, but I still think its a good idea. Maybe for a 4-player co-op mode?

Was that adressed at me? If so, I'm not saying that we should get "eye candy", just that I would like to see some expansion from the books into the games - Eric Nylund and William Dietz both did great jobs with those books, and they deserve something like that.

Hey if Nicole from DOA4 can beat the hell outta Bayman and Gen Fu, a "chick spartan" is alright in my book.

If anyone still thinks that women are weak and puny, I would advise you to google search 'Kunoichi'.

Kunoichi are women-ninjas. They were actually better than men-ninjas. They could pass unnoticed because people who were sexist at the time felt women too weak to be assasins. They paid dearly with their lives, as they were poisined or stabbed by the 'weak puny' girl.

Also, Check out Bungie's previous game 'ONI', starring a Female main-character with crazy kung-fu moves. Trinity from The Matrix kicks -Blam- too.

I think Fred was the strongest too. To say the least, there were a couple of 'the best at this'. Like how the MC is the luckiest. Anywho...uhm....no chick spartan armor. The MJOLNIR was made to be uni-blam!-. Seriously...thats like having female troops wearing short skirts....well....that would be cool. XD But...not a good idea to actually do.

Yeah, I would actually like to see a female-spartan in Halo 3. It would add a bit of feminism, and maybe get my girlfriend to actually play it. Plus, it would kinda kill a bit of the -Blam-ist remarks on xbox live. Lastly, it's just cool! Spartan-babes would be great for all the lonely gamers out there. *Thinks of Trinity, Princess Lea, Cortana, Eowyn *

Oh wow you might have some issues with the ladies man. In the books they were just as good if not better than the guys. Linda is the best sniper. Kelly is a lot faster than the other spartans. Both are the spartans the Chief chooses when he goes on missions because they are the best. And no woman spartan would ruin the game. But I guess you are entitled to your stereotypical and discriminatory opinion.

Col Sanders, I know this sounds bigoted, but he I can see where he's coming from. The reason that women are not allowed in any kind of Special Warfare is because they are physically less fit then guys. It's a biological fact. Guys get testosterone, which builds muscles and gives male sex characteristics, and girls get estrogen, which gives them female sex characteristics and flexiblity. It is possible that a woman would be able to go through this type of training, but it would be many times harder because they don't build muscle as fast. Unless they were on steroids. My personal opinion though, is that they all look the same and respond the same in that armor, so gender doesn't really matter.
As for the female ninjas, they were a success because women are more stealthy and flexible than men. Think, why are most gymnists female? It would make sense that the assassins would be female, but the USA is a country that proclaims that it does not do assassinations, although the veracity of that point is debatable.

do i want to play as a women no, because I am a man.
however, it would be cool in MM to be able to choose from:

1. MC
2. Elite
3. Women Spartan
4. etc, etc.

women would deff get a kick out of playing as a women, and it would be cool to have more then two choices for your MM character.

It does not sound bigot-like at all. You actually make decent points rather than just saying that a female SPARTAN would make the humans lose in Halo 3. I mean, the women went through every physical and mental enhancement that the men did, so that they are all practically equals. I think the only difference between Linda, Kelly, and John, besides their abilities (Linda being and expert sniper, Kelly being exceptionally fast, and John being overall-good, especially as a leader), would be their voices.

ok, for the most part people have got back on topic and have had some good discussions, but there are still a couple of you who keep quoting each other and having a battle of the sexes, just stop, your not going to change each others mind, and that stuff about the baby chicken was funny, i enjoyed the picture of the chicken with the spartan helmet
