I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

Will the ban actually last 4 years?

Legitimate question is a go-go.

I think this has something to do with Achronos, right?

Interesting. These are the questions that keep my up at night.

It'd be pretty funny if it did last 4 years.

I was a finalist :P

If someone is banned for a year on the 29/2, then this happens.

Why can't we put Bungie Cards here?

The "year long" bans probably last 365 days

  • 02.29.2012 9:18 PM PDT

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

I think they would just remove your ban the following year.

  • 02.29.2012 9:19 PM PDT

It would make sense, and be incredibly cruel.

  • 02.29.2012 9:19 PM PDT

No I am assuming the ban system is calibrated to calculate ban length by amount of time rather than by date. Either this, or when selecting and end date for a ban, the option for Feb 29 2013 would just not show up.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I guess that it would be 365 days as opposed to 'unban on the same date next year'.

Under deep consideration... I have come to the conclusion that one does not equal four.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Hmmmmmmm......
Go ask Achronos.

I'm curious about how the banning system works. I know the private group blacklisting system is set on dates. But I'm not sure if the main banning system is set on dates or simply an amount of days.

Even if the main banning system was set on dates, the moderator would simply have to put "March 1st, 2013" as the end date.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Someone should make an alt, and someone else should ban it - for science!

Key

Maybe the system calculates 365 days into the future instead of just changing the last number on the year? I don't know, just throwing it out there.

  • 02.29.2012 9:36 PM PDT

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Then there are the people who poop in the mash potatoes. Those people get launched out on their asses.

The ban system hands out bans in days. So a 365 day ban would be just that.

I think.

Interesting.

I would say so as well. My guesss is that the ban system is set for 365 days in one year rather than the actual date. In other words I think it takes down the time you were banned and how long the ban would last. So if you're banned for 1 year, that being 365 days then I would say after 365 days whether it is leap year or not you would be unbanned.

Or.... The site has a built in calender that has this already planned out accordingly. What the hell do I know, lol.
