i think bungie will give everyone a chance again. but then they will start to lay down the ban hammer.

It's possible they might, it's possible they might not.

A great deal would depend on the structure of the online MP of Halo 3 and how the architecture is planned.

Too soon and far too few details (just the teaser) to even begin to guess.

But if I had "soiled" an account that was banned from a portion of XBL that I enjoyed? I would have likely left it behind and started with a new ID and not put it at any risk.

That's just me though. People take all sorts of risks everyday. I find it amusing when they complain that the bear acted like a wild animal or that the train didn't swerve.

First Let me say I'm against giving anyone that's been banned a second chance. You decided to do it so accept the consequences. If you give them a second chance then people could just cheat on Halo2 all they want and then get to play halo3 without much consequence.

Beside if you give them a second chance then who's to say they won't do it again?

Please post what you said and why.

No, they do not. Soon the Great Journey shall begin. But when it does, the weight of their heresy will stay their feet, and they shall be left behind.

If you do, then that was a figure of speech. just get yourself a friggin life. sure i enjoy bungie's games as much as anyone does. to the extent i did a school project about it and said i worshipped bungie!. but i am over it!. you go get yourself a job do well in school and whatever.JUST GET -blam!- OVER IT!. You aren't getting a second -beeping- chance!. soz for the swearing but these guys really PISS ME OFF!. Amen.

Read about my gaming here.

Well, let me put it like this. EI, NEJ, NO NEIN, NAY, NÄ

First of all, they know the consecuenses, if they say they don't they are just stupid. Cheating in ANY online game is against the laws of the game.

Second, if you have to cheat to get to any rank, even if you say you deserve it, you certainly don't deserve to even look at ANY gaming platform, not even a boardgame

Third, make a place for cheaters to play against each other's, the one with the highest rank is obviously the worst cheater. Maybe not because they can still play.

why give someone a second chance if they wasted their first chance? It's like giving a murderer a death sentance and then revive him/her.

No. If you happen to be one of the people who said yes. You obviously are one of them, or have never experienced cheating first hand.

Fact is, if people believed there was a zero tollerance policy. Cheating would drop signifigantly. People wouldn't want to chance it.

I say zero tollerance is the way to go. That's my two cents.

About skipping school at Halo 3 launch day
Posted by: RhythmKiller

I'm going to school because I plan on having a life...
Yeah, only nerds skip school. Oh wait...

Those who cheat do it with the knowledge that they might one day be banned and they have actively contributed to this ban. I see no way to give the cheaters a second chance, and I don't want one either. The cheaters ruin the entire matchmaking-system and if they have done it once, there is no reason to let them back into matchmaking so that they could continue ruining the game for those of us who play to have fun.

How many Christians must you slap until one of them turns the other cheek?

Think about it, "God" is an atheist.

If people get a second chance, they will cheat and cheat and cheat and cheat until they get caught the first time.

Upon getting a second chance, then they will be more careful. But most of them think they won't get caught to begin with, so I don't think they will learn their lesson after the "warning".

Ban them!!

A second chance to cheat, no way. Cheating for most is like when a wild animal tastes blood, it can't get enough. I say do the cheaters like old yellar.

  • 05.23.2006 7:59 AM PDT

Everyone is entitled to be stupid but some abuse the priviledge.

They definately shouldn't get another chance. They knew there was a chance they'd get banned if they cheated. They must suffer the consequences of their actions.

Well I think everyone deserves a second chance. You banned 'em once and u can do it again. But to make them waste another 50 bucks is just stupid. All of u guess that are all like I HATE MODDERS! CHEATERS = DEVILS play halo too much.

Of course theydo! they shouldnt be banned in the first place! they've payed for their damn game, and they've paid for they're damn Xbox Live, and they should get what they pay for. BUT, they shouldnt play with those of us who are honest. Why not put them on a different server, where they can all cheat together. Beats us having to deal with them, and beats complaints service having to put up with them, all you have to do is send em a notifivation that they are being put on a cheaters server and leave them to it.

It was a metaphor, and a damn clever one at that. he's saying dont let em off, their heresy (cheating) will stay their feet (stay tagged to them), and should be left behind, without Halo Live.

It'ld cost quite a bit of money to set up dedicated servers for halo 2 or 3. So I doubt that'll happen. I'm not saying un-ban all cheaters just unban them for halo 3. (after all it's not even on the xbox it's on 360) They would still be banned from halo2. Bungie could even set it so that those accounts get rebanne if they slip up even once.

are you serious? that might be the worst arguement I can recall.

1. any money put into this game is for legit players, NOT CHEATERS

2. read this weeks update, its right up your ally

3. do you have any idea how much work, and money would go into seperate servers

4. you are rewarding cheaters

5. you probably are a cheater

6. read the terms of use policy

7. I also, along with thousands of other legit gamers, paid for an XBOX and a year membership and didn't do that to hear some punk ass virgin with nothing better to do then cheat on me, because they can't beat me head up or any other legit gamer.

people who cheat know they are cheating. the only thing i would accept as a forgiven is if you were in a game and they started cheating. but its still an excuss to cheat. and man talk about that guy who killed the guy who was stand bying. lol. anyway i hope that people just read the rules and quit trying to cheat there way to something. if everyone knows you are doing it and you tell them you are a 50 then whats it worth....
