I am posting this in here as I doubt it will get fixed in halo 2 but hopefully the same mistake not be made in Halo 3
The issue:
Scenario 1
Flying along boosters firing in a ghost and you hit an enemy that is moving.. What happens.. You push him out the way and continue on your way without killing him even though you are doing a much faster speed then he was.

Scenario 2
You at a dead stop in a ghost and hit the boost at the right time hit, and kill your enemy...sweet.. But you were not going full speed to do this..oh well, you got the kill who cares.

If you compare this to a real life physics scenario 1 would be much more effective at killing people then scenario 2.

The other thing is with the Wraith, I have had a few people on my team peeved that they did not get the wraith first run up behind me and kill themselves with me getting blamed for a betrayal due to a road kill. I then get booted once this has been done enough times so I end up having to run away from my own team mate with no recourse of action other then to leave feedback. I am not going to describe how it is done as this will probably result in people going off to do it for a laugh.

lol..you do not go to school do you... newtens law of phisics would describe to you why people in the first do not die....as for the second it is reallistic. if you are on the road and i suddenly go 30 miles an hour and hit you you are goingh to die, or be very hurt like in halo 2 sometimes it just results in your sheild going down...

So Newton's laws of physics says that if you are running along a road and I come from behind you in a car going 80mph, you will live? However, if you are standing still and I'm in the same car stopped, I can kill you while I'm accelerating? I don't doubt that a person could be killed by the second scenario, but I'm pretty sure scenario one would even have a better chance at killing a person. I think in your argument, you are thinking of Newton's second law:
II. The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F = ma. Acceleration and force are vectors (as indicated by their symbols being displayed in slant bold font); in this law the direction of the force vector is the same as the direction of the acceleration vector.

However, I think it would be easier if Bungie just used his third:
III. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

If you get hit buy a vehicle...you get splattered.

Vehicles should do way more damage in halo 3. It pisses me off how much people just slide around.

I agree, that was my last point. Nothing pisses me off more than boosting a ghost into someone only to send that person flying to the other side of the map.
