Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

Is 343 trolling us or something here?
If they are, it's working. Plenty of people are pissed.
I know bleedthrough had issues, but I mean, c'mon, not bad enough to revert it.

Any theories/insight into this lovely turn of events?

Also, anybody suppose Anniv. Classic might keep bleedthrough, as it's not marked as using TU gametypes in the playlist interface?

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Can't wait. I'm going back to being a double melee hero and no one can stop me anymore.

I thought that was prett dumb. Everything else is awesome, but THAT is dumb. Hopefully it stays in Classic gametypes.

I think the fact that it was buggy bothered Microsoft and how it reflected on them as a company.

Reach wasn't built for bleed-through plain and simple.

I'm not a fan of the change that's for sure. I'm just trying to rationalize the situation.

Double-melee-ers might be OK if I can at least shoot them faster now.

There will be double melee-ers though. Lots of them. This I promise you.

Well, I wouldn't say everything else is awesome, but it's not as significant or controversial as bleedthrough removal. I'm sure players of the affected playlists are probably a bit miffed in many cases, but we all know what the population numbers on those playlists were like, so it's not surprising their voice is hard to hear over the din regarding bleedthrough.

lol I see what you're saying, but it's still pretty out there. Almost feels like they want the competitive crowd to -blam!- off so nobody will complain when Halo 4 features some pretty significant Jersey Shore and MLP tie-ins. Like Snooki-lock. Pony.... bloom.... and so on.

Well people who don't know any better are going to complain that it's buggy so it should be fixed.

What's Microsoft supposed to say to these people? 'That how it works, it's broken?'

It's easier for them just to change it back to how the game was originally intended for better or worse for us. The game doesn't work with bleed-through for some reason I and most people probably don't understand or can even begin to understand why.

They throw us a bone with reduced bloom, because that doesn't cause anything else to break. Except the other weapons that were balanced with the bloom model in mind which is all of them.

Is there reduced bloom on everything else with TU? I don't even know. I just use the other weapons because they're wacky and outrageous.

But I can sorta see how this whole situation looks like an amicable solution to Microsoft.

The game is just a mess.

Reduce the bloom on the plasma repeater. I guarantee you, Reach = saved. It's so much fun.

Repeater? It's already pretty beefy. I think it'd be a lot better if they ran vanilla as a learner's playlist, and this for the rest.
