great idea, its better than what they used in halo 2 and would work well with voice proximity because then you would not have to talk to your team mates

Yeah, this is what I'm talking about! When you press a certain D-Pad button, MC gives a team command. Totally up to that!

And then what, if you dont listen you get booted.
If they can make ranks actually mean something in Halo 3, and that if you have a higher rank in Halo 3 in a playlist, then gave the priviledge to the highest ranked, it could work but what will stop someone from not listening.

nothing could stop someone from not listening, but its a great option for a team that always plays together

"Not really. They eat their wounded."
"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

But you would have to be in visual contact, which means you would be bunched up and easy for rockets/grenades etc. i think the command should pop up in the corner or bottom of the HUD so you know when to charge in, cover, cover fire, fall back etc.

why should they... we have comsets on our heads so we can scream it at our team... i like that better :-p if they have a better TEAMCOM so you can communicate with your whole team around the map without the other team hearing you

acknowledgement light popping uo on your HUD is a good idea...

How about this. When you push up on the D-pad, the MC targets a vehicle or enemy. That enemy/vehicle gets a bright red box around him for easy identification as long as he's in view. Maybe it should show his shield status too. But anyway, push down on the D-pad, the MC should holster his weapon and go straight to his fists for fast meleeing. Left and right on the D-pad could make the MC tilt left or right, like most strategic FPSs.

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

It would be better if they had AI in multiplayer that you could control. That would be sick.

If you were scared to go around a corner you could ahve them go first and get destroyed!

Noy in multiplayer, only 4 commands that doesn't work. It might work for loose games like Battlefront(in which you may have been inspired), but halo requires downright strategy. If you don't have a mic, tough. they're only 20 bucks or less. And no, not in Campaign either. The 360 should harness the ability to use actualy voice to AI(Rainbow Six 3 used it). You would just press up on the directional pad seeing as white/lb is taken by flashlight and camo. The other pad directions would be lean left and right. Direction down, well, can't really put anything there, it would make sense for prone to double click the left analog stick.

Carrots.

They should have them in Campaign to order marines around too.
I like the idea, if you press down on the D-pad, a SPARTAN or ELite would put his weapon in the stand by position, which I like to use.
It was funny, once I was on XBL and a team was guarding they're flag, they had SMG's and we had rockets (I had the sword) and I said "Put down your weapons and back away slowly" and they pressed down on the D-pad and backed away, it was hillarious, and than I killed one of them with my sword, and they got angry and charge me, but than I had to remind them I had a sword and the rest had rockets LOL.
