I can't play Halo anymore! I put the cd in and played for maybe 40mins then I decided to minimize the game and check things on the desktop when it froze. I restarted the computer and tried to play again and it won't start. I put the cd and the first window pops up I click to play and the Halo symbol comes up and then nothing. I hear the cd spinning then nothing.....it freezes my whole computer and I have to restart. So I tried it again and the same thing happens. I even reinstalled it and it still doesn't start.
What do you think the problem is?

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Computer: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz

ATi Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition
Display Type: LCD Resolution: 1680 x 1050 Depth: 32-bit Color

Did you remove all the old Halo files before re-installing? Did you download and install the updater file(s)?

I use a Mac, but from what I've read, that should do it– as long as there's no other problem with your computer, like a virus.

I did all that. And I don't think I have a virus...but I'll scan my computer just in case.
What's weird is when I reinstall it it allows me to play, but when I close down the game completely and try to bring it up again it freezes and messes up again.

It couldn't be my firewall could it? I recently updated mine and before there was no problem....could that be it?

It's quite possibly your firewall - you may need to manually add Halo to the programs list, when I started using my new computer I couldn't get Halo working for some time either. What kind of firewall are you using?
