Here is my question to Bungie, "Revolutionaries of First Person Shooters". What about a little random variety in Campaign Play? What I mean is, there is nothing more boring then knowing exactly what waits around the next corner. What would it take to have the campaign generate random variables each time you play (post-mortem reboot) like:
Random encounters
Different mixes in opponent types
Varying points of entry, approach, or basing of opponents
In set maps, let the opponents respond to assist allies in distress, rather than being locked in their own encounter zones.
If you camp in a zone, the opponents call in more backup to keep you moving.

I think this kind of innovation in game play would be a leap in campaign playability, making it almost as good as the best damn multiplayer out there. Halo Fans what do you think?

Can someone at Bungie tantalize our hopes?

There was a little randomisation in Halo 1 and 2, but yes, more randomisation would be fantastic. Add more variety to those enemy ranks, makeup, weapons, placement, timings, and so on, and it'd be the icing on the cake.

"Not really. They eat their wounded."
"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

Or come from a different place. e.g when the drones come over the ledge on outskirts, you're ready and waiting on the turret when they suddenly start shooting you in the back - came from the other direction. stuff like that would really increase the level of awareness and reactions of players without or with live.

Imagine if every time you played the campaign, it would be similar to the first time. Where you didn't know about the hunters around the corner, or the elites with swords over there, or that the dropship would touch down in a certain position. That would dramatically increase replayability, and help keep things fresh.

That would do very well as a single player game, if they did the programming right, but if they kept the checkpoint(...done) thing enemies might spawn behind you.

But tell me one person who won't have Xbox Live then...

This might be offtopic but...
How about you would have a difference in multiplayer:
* Co-op
* Different playable Characters (more than 2)
* Change between bigger and smaller battlefields (8, 16, 24)
* More vehicles
^Just some ideas^

or like in outskirts when the hunters break through the gate and you already know to shoot them with the turrets. It would be really sweet if instead it was a group of elites and a wraith or something like that, if they could do things like that in halo 3 it would really be sweet

lol

Yeah, I was thinking this too. But im thinking, I doubt Bungie would take fan ideas as I bet they've already started the game.. so they properly will not code anything completly new into the system - no?

I think you should be able to choose a path of good and evil and to be able to choose who you fight with. Example: join the covenit or earth, or another group of people. It woud be cool
if could have more than one mission in an area, because if Bungie breaks the boundries of
the 360, and I know they will, the campain maps will be monsterous.

I've got to agree with you guys, more randomization in the game would make the much more re-playable, so that multiplayer wouldnt be the only thing people were looking for in the game.

Now I don't really agree with the last two posts about switching sides. This game isn't fable or anything like that. you pretty much need to stick with the story.

I don't like the idea of randomisation, to much chaos stuck in a controlled structure won't work, unless the levels are more open (GTA) style campaigns, with options of what to do when to do etc, otherwise you will always be limited by the structure around the chaos. though euporia ( lucas arts indiana jones thing) is a good way of adding flexibility, AI using whats around to get the best out of it. will they come straight at you, flank. will they hide. plus if they was as mouch randomness as saying completely different enemies every time not only does it lose its realism but you get whiners goin on about how hard it is cos i got all the way through a level then got killed and it took me forever to get back there again. Cos checkpoints would be damn tricky to do with such randomness unless they had safe points, like rooms with no enemies etc for them

We are not giving Bungie ideas. We just simply post things that would be fun to other people. Bungie doesn't even read the forums
