Or would you just... "mistreat" the powers?

I think I would but I'm too inactive and my English sucks.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Nah, I doubt it.

I'd be too relaxed of a moderator.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

You know the old saying, 'You don't have to run faster than a bear, you just have to run faster than your friend'?

Well, with that in mind, I wouldn't be good, I'd just try to be better than bobcast!

I dunno. I wouldn't want to be a moderator of the public forums anyway.

Qbix smells like Norvegia cheese.

I figure I'd be a decent forum ninja, but my web design skills are pretty low.

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

Meh. Good enough to get a group dedicated to having me removed from HFCS by someone who hadn't even been banned by me (at the time).

  • 03.03.2012 5:45 AM PDT

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

As long as you have some level of intelligence, I think anyone who ticks that box would be a good moderator. The only difficulty is that most people are not trusted enough to perform the role. To be fair, we have enough moderators, at the moment.

What does Qbix smell like?
Like he spent the night with your mother.

So, the walk of shame returns?

I think there is more to moderating than meets the eye. We probably only see a small potion of what actually goes on with moderating. I think I have pretty good judgement for keeping the forums clean. But there is really only one way to find out.

Nonetheless, it's not really up to whether or not I think I would be a good moderator, but more-so of the webteam.

Well duh, my good looks make me a clear cut choice for a good mod.

I wouldn't want to be a mod...I'll admit I had when I first logged in and took in the sights, sounds, and smells that I wanted the glory of being a mod...

but as I age and slowly crawl my way to immortality, I realized that the mods log in, see if anyone is breaking the rules and ban/blacklist those that are and be eternal flame bait for the little kids who can't follow simple guidelines as dictated in the Terms and Conditions...

I am rather happy with my simple existance as a fan of BUNGiE, b.net, and the mods. I am even a fan of DeeJ but don't tell him that...I am still struggling with the concept and try to maintain our love/hate relationship ;)

EDIT: Qbix smells of bountiful snow, the jagged mountains, the smoking volcanoes and of the salty spray of the sea... Ahh Fus Ro Da.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Ha, funny joke... Wait, you were serious?

Absolutely not.

Key

...meh.

I mean I guess I'd do okay from an actual judgement standpoint, but I don't think I'd ever actually get the title. Using the opinions that the community has expressed towards me both publicly and privately I can safely assume that I'm not liked very much around here mainly due to my behavior and, to some, because I'm a "dick".

Typically people like that (A.K.A. like me) don't seem to get picked to be Forum Ninja. I mean, I suppose I could put on my formal attire for posting politely when discussions concerning moderation decisions or serious discussions arrise... but even then.

My reputation, I think, would supersede any potential I could have to be a moderator.

Meh.
I have to act responsible and like a role model all the time when I am in uniform. So if I put on the Salmon Hat I would be fine. Right now I just respond to asshats way too often. But if I could just lock the threads that I knew either did not contribute discussion or are there just to put down others... then it most likely wouldn't be a problem.

Here is a good way of putting it: I have faith in my ability to judge. I do not have faith in my personality.

I think I'd do fine, I'm just not regularly active, although that may change had I become a "ninja".

I wouldn't recommend it, high doses of qbix can be hazardous to your health.

I think I would be a good moderator, I read almost all the topics in a day but rarely post in them, but if I saw injustice I would bring down the hammer!

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Sure, I could be anything with my own idolized company being big brother; utlimatly it would be because of their trust that I wouldn't overstep or not step at all. I even have some experience from args.bungie.org, or ABO, back during H3's ARG.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I wouldn't abuse the powers, but I don't think that I would know enough to use them effectively.
