心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Do you think that Noble Six should have been a silent character such as The Rookie in ODST or do you think his voice suits the character fine?

Personally I liked it better when he was just a silent character like in the first trailers for the game. Granted there are parts where his speech is almost necessary to convey the emotion Bungie wants to elicit.

What do you guys think?

I dont mind him talking occassionally

I think he should've been silent. His/her voice (and even his personality) don't really seem like that of a hyper lethal vector's.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

He needed a deeper voice.

I did not like the silent Rookie. Silent characters do not help you care for them that much. I think it can work if done correctly, but in this case, and in FEAR 3 (Point Man), for example, it would have just made them shells to not have them respond to anything.

Well truthfully he wasn't supposed to be a real dynamic character. He/she was just a normal spartan III that ended on a special team, though he did save the world by saving cortana. The spotlight really isn't supposed to be on him unlike chief.

I was just looking up FEAR 3 on YouTube when I read this. >.>

But I think silent characters are better for stories; it helps to develop the characters around you, make it [i]their[/i story, just seen through the eyes of whoever you're playing as.

ODST was obviously about the rest of the squad; the Rookie was just there to connect the story together.

I thought the game had plenty of emotion to it.

| SPOILERS |

Look at each of the times that one of the Spartans from Noble team falls in battle. It's not like each death is simply thrown in, each has a set of emotions behind it.

Jorge and Carter both felt that they needed to sacrifice themselves for the mission at hand. Emile and Six both went out fighting, making a last stand and trying to take as many of the enemy with them. Kat was caught completely off guard, even Six takes a moment after the shot to realize what happens and return fire.

| END SPOILERS |

We see these things, we're right there for them. Leading up to each of these scenes and even after there's an emotional build up. Whether it's a one way ticket, backed into a corner, or just blind sided by the battle.
