As long as the Master Chief's name is not mentioned in the games, I'm pretty sure the Arbiter's won't either. The Arbiter is the Master Chief of the Covenant (or was at least).

The Chief's name was revealed in the books so I would conjecture that they will reveal his name in the upcoming book if it wasn't already revealed in First Strike (which I don't think it was).

No, he was a Fleet Admiral.

No it was revealed in the game. The book merely expanded on it. You can't reveal something twice silly rabbit. And I don't think having the Covenant speak English takes away anything. The Covenant are Forerunner religious nuts so it's only natural that they adapt the Forerunner language.

She didn't call him John, you whacko. She always calls him "Chief", and I don't even think she addressed him at the end, she just spoke..but she definately did NOT call him John, his name was revealed in the books.

His name is Rolamee correct?

No, Rolamee was a high ranking elite who failed an important mission (I don't remember) and then the Prophet put his head on a spike 'cause he failed.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Sadly, I couldn't find my copy of Halo: The Flood. In the beginning it mentions an Elite during his meeting with a Prophet and a second Elite. The first Elite, whose name I never thought to be that important, is very likely to be the Arbiter. He was in charge of assaulting the Pillar of Autumn, and he would have destroyed it had the Prophet not been afraid of the plasma torpedoes missing and hitting the "holy relic" (Halo).

If anyone would be blamed for the destruction of Halo, it'd fall on the guy in charge of the Fleet.

If somebody could look for his name, I bet we've found our beloved Arbiter.

Master Chief's name was not revealed in the books, it was revealed at the end of Halo 1. Cortana calls him John in the ship as they leave the destruction of installaion 4.

Heh, it's not mentioned at all in the game, it's said in the First halo book: Fall of reach

No sniper, Rolamee is the advisor Elite to the Prophet on the Truth and Reconcilliation.

Halo: The Flood mentions a "Ship Master Orna 'Fulsamee", who was involved with the destruction/capture of the Pillar of Autumn. Could this be the Arbiter we all know and (some of us, anyway) love? There is perhaps only one person right now who knows the answer, and his name is Eric Nylund.

-Pyroshark-

EDIT: According to WIkipedia, the Supreme Commander (who we now know as the Arbiter) as also the one responsible for the loss of the Ascendant Justice. I haven't read First Strike yet, so can anyone shed some light on this? Is the Supreme Commander who lost control of this ship to the Humans called Orna 'Fulsamee? Or is it another Elite entirely?

No, the Arbiter was the Supreme Commander which meant he controlled the entire Covenant fleet during Halo. Orna was the ship commander of the Truth and Reconciliation. During Halo when you are rescuing Captain Keyes, you kill Orna. He's the Golden Elite with the sword that comes after you.

Edit: I'm not sure they give the Arbiter's name in the books...all of the major elites mentioned in the book by name are dead. Orna, ship commander = dead. Rolamee, councillor = dead. Noga 'Putumee, field master = dead. Zuka 'Zamamee, spec-ops = dead. Finally Isna Nosolee, Eye of the Prophet = dead.
