I've been playing Halo since 2002. My earliest memories include hiding at the shotgun window on Damnation and killing my dad with grenades while playing co-op on Pillar of Autumn.

Anyone else find it funny?

It never really results in a "quote storm" but a storm of posts saying "oh no, there's gonna be a quote storm!"

  • 03.03.2012 9:27 AM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Employees posting on a site made by them, it is VERY STRANGE.

Well, atleast they are posting here and not NeoGaf.

Who the hell do you think I am?

They always ruin the threads.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

It's ironic isn't it? Especially when they quote and say it!

... yes it is actually.

Key

The flood isn't as used to Employee posts as the Septagon is.

It's natural for them to flip out.

  • 03.03.2012 9:31 AM PDT

Ask me a question, and I will most likely respond back with false and illogical information not pertaining to said question.

Yeah, I see that a lot when it happens. It's quite funny as well.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

There was a day in which employee posts in Septagon threads lead to instant derailment. I remember having meaningful discussions for several pages, then Achronos would pipe in and leave a constructive comment. Everything after his post was "You got him good lol." Absolutely ridiculous.

Exactly. People ruin and derail the thread by posting those things. I would much rather see people trying to post witty comments to respond with than posting "Quote storm inbound!".

I wouldn't say so, I'd say that the people who mindlessly quote them ruin the thread. It's not really their fault that people are mindless.

I think the ability to quote employees should be removed, it would probably help the situation.

But then that is making people blatantly ignore them, erasing the close connection Bungie have with the community.

Exactly.

But, due to the purpose of the Septagon, Employees posted in it a lot more frequently and that lead to us getting used to it.

I don't think the same thing will happen with the Flood.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Move along now.

Posts like this just piss me off. The Flood is not a terrible place. This forum has it's flaws just like the Floods. Don't make it sound like The Flood is unorganized.
