Got it, I'm nearly positiive the answer is 36. I'll tell you why: make an angle ABC on a pice of paper. Then cut the angle in half (the bisector dividing the angle in two parts) and this will make two angles in one larger angle: angle ABD and angle DBC. Now, it states that angle DBC has an angle of 24 degrees (remember that both ABD and DBC have the same angle measures because of the first angle bisector creating both angles. So both angles have a measurement of 24.) Are you following me? So far you should have two angles (ABD and DBC) in one larger angle, ABC. Both ABD and DBC should have the same measurements, 24 degrees because of BD, the angle bisector. Now, put another angle bisector (bisector BE) in the angle ABD. This will cut 24 in half making two 12 degree angles. Now, if you had drawn a picture of my instructions, you'll see that angle EBC consists of a 12 degree angle (angle EBD) and a full 24 degree angle (angle DBC) adding up to 36 as the final answer. If you didnt understand a word of what I just said, then you gotta trust me but try following the directions and figuring it out.
