face it. once halo 3 comes out, modders will be all over it like white on rice. i my self have a modded xbox and a normal 360 that i play on xbox live. i have done great modding and added things bungie wont(skins and stuff).

my thinking is ppl who use modding to win games are cheaters. but if bungie found a way to let every one have the same power as that modd then it wouldn't be cheating and would piss off the modder.

maybe write a hidden program that once a mod is enabiled then it will spread that mod to every one to have it.

THIS WOULD ONLY MAKE IT EASIER FOR CHEATERS, YOU IGNORAMUS!

ps, no one has modded a 360 yet to my knowledge, so for now we shouldnt worry about it.

bungie can't do any too me when i modd on a xbox that is not on xboxlive. and to the contract with xbox if i open the xbox and put in the modd chip its on my own. and if it breaks i have to be the one to fix it.

and like i said before i use my 360 to play normal and i use my modded xbox to modd.

So your saying if you mod outside of matchmaking...it is okay. WRONG!

That is the same as saying there is a difference between someone stealing my car or stealing my wallet. Although the car is of more value, it is still illegal to steal property.

SO modding is wrong, illegal, and immoral.

Unfortunatly, to softmod, you need action replay. and a Action Replay is coming out for the 360 soon so...

Unfortunatly I think he is right as long as its NOT IN MM. Seriously can't you just play the game the way they made it. You must understand why people are being harsh to you we get modded like everyday.

Are you banned for cheating? Your GT is suspended or something.

Halo CE = Lan party
Halo 2 = Live
The reason so many people think halo 2 takes no skill is because in halo ce the only competition were friends in the next room. when the same people get on live, they realize they are no where close to being the best and therefore blame their loss on unbalance in the weapons and game.

my gamercard

someone has finally been able to mod a 360, but....its a combination between hardmods and soft mods, meaning lots of chips and lots of programs. this will cost u hundreds.

action replay will not do anything, it was used to softmod because games like mechassault and splintercell had errors within the programming that allowed foriegn prggrams to enter ur xbox harddrive. but they have learned how to fix the error, thats why u cant just softmod with any game, and all games will require to be errorlist free so softmodding alone will be impossible.

but since they also hardmodded the 360 they were able to finally get able to get the modded dashboard in such in.so i predict a great MM

but modding the 360 will cost hundreds of dollars so modding in MM will not be a big deal since only a few will have a modded 360 and if the people who mod the 360 and sell them to people will be caught and fined and have all their hardware taken in as evidence and then they will be screwed.

modding the 360 will not be a problem for legit palyers just because of the few who will mod and jsut simply banned from xboxlive.

so i predict a great future for halo3 with MM.

First off, he says he has a modded Xbox that he doesn't play on Live so cool down. Secondly, I actually think this is a good idea. This would certainly level the playing fields. The only thing is, if these hackers and program writers can get around the security, I'm sure that they can get around another program.

What you say are both causing damage, if you mod in a custom game it is with friends only, and you can have a ton of fun with modded content. In matchmaking where it is a competition it is cheating, modding to make the game different is fine and fun.
