this is just my opinion but map maker is definetly not bungie and would definetely ruin the whole rep of bungie and the halo series
i said POST IF U SAY YES

Well i thought the map maker in farcry was pretty dam cool to bad that game was terrible, i couldnt believe it got high scores on some sites. The A.I. was so hit or miss its like wow they can see me the whole way across the island when im in the shadow behind a building and at the same time the guys inside the building cant find there way out of the building while im shooting them.
Well what i meant to say was the map maker was pretty cool and that farcry sucked so imagine how cool a well executed mapmaker would be on a game that should very well be the best in the halo series to date.

I think this. Vote what I think. but ONLY POST if you dont. rawr.

That seems a tad... retarded if you ask me. Of course people are going to post if they agree with you, and some people didn't even understand the question/poll!

I said no, and my point is a good one well at least I think it is. Why do so many people want stuff in Halo changed like adding a Map Maker, making the possibility to command Marines. Halo is the best games right, why would they add stuff from other games that arent as good to a game that is better without it. By adding stuff that people want could ruin Halo or defiantly make it like lesser games.

Frankly... most of that didn't even make with the sense having. (Or make sense for those of you who didn't get my humor)

But I'll answer your poll (even though I didn't even vote)
No, they definantly shouldn't put in a mapmaker for the sole reason that Halo 2 would suddenly become a ground for crappy map makers. Just look at Counter Strike.

Well its not like they are going to take all the maps that people make and put them in the playlists. I mean talk about homefield advantage you would have a map that only you have played and could even decide where everyone spawns so you could make it one giant camp fest. I think a mapmaker would be pretty cool esp with the whole marketplace thing on live people could put up there maps and let the world decide how cool there maps and then maybe they could even compete to have there brand new maps put into the playlists. That could end up being pretty cool imagine if one of the coolest maps for halo3 mp comes from a player using his own ingenuity and the mapmaker.

Amen to that. I personally would love to have the map edit option in H3.

Obviously any custom maps would have to be custom game only at the beginning. Bungie could add a submission button that allows you to send a map for review. Also, rather then having to look at the tons of maps themselves, they put a call out for maptesters online. Take some one hundred people or so and send them maps to reveiw. Any final edits of the maps (by the MTs) are sent to a core group of bungie testers who make final edits. From general aprovall of the bungie testers the maps are sent to an unranked custom map playlist. Thus giving the rest of the H3 community to get a feel for the maps. Of course any maps that become well liked could be moved into MM at a later time.
