Anyone have a clue - that's you bungie - as to what's the future of H3? I'm guessing Bungie still controls the game. They said they wouldn't update it anymore, but how long will it remain online? Next gen console release? Why can't they fix simple things like giving us accurate populations? So many thoughts.

Bungie is no longer managing the Halo Universe. While our Halo-related forums and stats remain available, be advised that "official" answers and support about the Halo Universe (past, present, or future) are not.

Halo 3 matchmaking is in the hands of 343 until they shut it down.

I was under the impression that 343 and Microsoft just control Reach and the future of Halo. I guess it reasons that if 343 has Reach it would have H3. I, and I'm definitely not alone in this, would love to see some updates. Alas these longing dreams are just that. Dreams.

I'm under the impression that 343 controls Halo now, because they do.

If you have any concerns about Matchmaking, you can easily bring it to 343's Halo 3 Forum where you can address your dreams.
