This whole "back in my day" in reference to this site reminds me of the whole "90's kid master race" storm.

You just had to bring up the 90s. Going to cry now.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

So the old day were like, you wouldn't start topics asking what the old days were like.

There wasn't as many people and the layout was different. Apart from that it's still the same.
This.

Friends before pixels.

I remember being on my dad's windows live account and making an account here (it's probably long deleted) in the days of halo 2.

It was so magical for 7 year old me to be able to see a place where people from all around the world can all gather and have fun.

Remember kids: when Uncle Delta tells you he has sweeties, he isn't lying.

Now get in the van.

The Black Chapter

I've completely forgotten what it used to look like. I remember I got banned more often but....yeah, I'm of no use here.

We had an ugly and busted navbar fixed to the bottom of our page.

Those were the good ol' days.

It was like the navbar was your goofy, socially awkward cousin that you see at the family reunions.

If I had one wish for Bungie.net, it would be to be able to change my username. Even if it cost me Microsoft Fun-Money, Space Bucks, or Stosh Dollars. That is all.

Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

Ask smart questions

I was really young and I spoke like "hai dere" and I did not understand a thing of whatever was said on the Forums. I just played Halo.

Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."

In order to be more acquainted with the community, I'd like to ask a question from the oldest of the old, if they're still around.

How were the forums like back then? Exciting? A great experience? Something to hate?

I remember back in the online camps of Marathon and Myth and how bloodthirsty we were...I miss those days. Y'all think Halo was nuts, well you haven't lived through the Myth II installer bug...I still have nightmares about it.

Another thing is I met Mr. Jones once at Macworld '99 and I think once before but the details and event is fuzzy...but I remember at MacWorld he told me(I was nine) "be prepared to wander, for what is coming no one can yet comprehend its magnitude and purpse." I know he wasn't referring to Halo...

May our ancient wisdom be passed to a new generation, wrought in flame, their temperance unyielding, their steel of unparalleled strength...for the coming storm shall test their mettle, the coming darkness test their courage, the coming night test their hope for the dawn of a new day, a coming of new age...My god it's full of stars...

Positive vibes.

I honestly wouldn't know what it was like ages ago, but since I have been here, this place has certainly grown quieter.
