Most of what I say is sarcasm, the rest is of the highest intellect.

I had quite a large one yesterday with a few guys from BTB and thier friends and my friends joined. Was pretty good to actually play with people on off the beaten track maps/game types, and really have fun.

So I was thinking why doesn't 343 make an option to search for custom game lobbies/join in progress sessions for the march update? I mean I doubt it'd be that hard to do, and also it'd be the only thing worth doing for the march update.

If they can't do it, I'd like it in halo 4. What do you think?

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

Yes, everyone has been suggesting this idea for quite a few years now. Hopefully it comes in Halo 4 and the Matchmaking stays the EXACT same.

Well, maybe with a few less "Starting Game" screens.

Makes me wonder how such as system could work.

Well there could be the option for "Private" or "Public" for your privacy settings.

In the matchmaking category you could search gametype specifically.

Just adopt a already used code for joining in progress, or develop thier own, it wouldn't be ultra hard. (I think)

Perhaps it would be a form of matchmaking. A party of 16 players is collected, and the player with the highest "Trust" Level would be party leader.

Trust level would be a system based on the feedback of other players. If you run a good lobby, players will give you a posotive trust point, however if someone disliked your trust level, they could give a negative trust point. (The whole lobby votes, like the current map selection vote in MM, and collectively they can either give you 1 Posotive point or 1 negative)

The big flaw in such a system would people downvoting each other for no reason.

The menu stays the same. But when you go to custom games, you have two choices. Host custom games and join custom games. When you click on host custom games, you are the party leader. When you click on join custom games, it gives you a list pf the top 25 games found. It'll slow you the current map, gametype and player count. Would work pretty good.

All of these ideas are so simple, easy to use, and all seem like they would actually work.

If it's not in Halo 4, I'm mad.

The MM system takes 16 people, and puts them in a lobby. The game picks the top three people with the most maps and gametypes ratio(excluding the ones that were shipped with the game), and the voters are then shown the ratios next to the person on the left voting place. They decide on them.

The new "leader" is given 15/25 seconds to pick the maps and gametype. If they aren't compatible, he/she can not pick it. They pick the top 3 maps and gaetypes, and the voters pick it. The leader can't have the same map twice, or the same gametype twice. If the game is broken and a waste of time, the leader could be "ranked down" and the game will have a smaller chance of picking them. If somebody is ranked up, the game has a higher chance of picking them.

The entire system would have its own ranking system, and players would run it. Leaders would also be given a rank if they are picked to lead the lobby.

Sidenote: maps and gametypes could be put into File Shares as a "set". This means that you download both the map and gametype as a whole, if the person's fileshare is set up like that.
