After months of building, tweaking, redesigning and testing it is finally complete.
Note: You need to be using 125% jump height since this closely matches Halo 3's jump mechanics.
Otherwise your precious jumps will not work!
I would also recommend 120% movement speed to add to the experience, and remove sprint as it will screw with the lift mechanics (forge issue!).

I originally made Guardian back in Novemeber 2010, it was pretty decent but it lacked some of the accurate scale and nuances which were important in the orginal map, since i made it based on halo reach jump height settings and only 1 months experience of forge.
In the year following my forge skills improved immensely and i decided to go back and rebuild this epic Halo 3 map better than anyone else ever could.
If you have played other peoples, they all suffer from the following common problems:
(*...* = indicates notes relating to known and uncontrollable issues with my map.)
-Incorrect scale which meant that structures were not in line correctly so previous angles and vision were obscured and prevented
-Terrible choices of forge peices which compromised the layout and made Guardian feel like another slap dash forge map
-Weak problem solving: Guardian has dozens of micro incline ramps which are almost completely missing from other remakes, again this throws off scale and a sense of craftmanship due to the technical challenge involved in incorporating them.
-Horrendous lag and flicker from clashing pieces, and overuse of glass surfaces which compounds the slow down issue.
*The only known lag on my version occurrs when using camo, or when there is a decent amount of grenade effects on screen.
This is so minimal that it does not hamper 99% of play.*
-Poor lifts (being able to drop down gold lift)or innacurate pathing of the lift.
*Reach lifts allow you to alter your trajectory manually so beware. Do not blame me for you falling short of a jump, bungie programmed the lifts i simply placed them the best i could*
-Scope lag: people often would be unable to snipe scoped in due to a drop in frame rate. This is mostly due to glass surfaces and overmerging of forge peices. I have managed to remove ALL scope lag from the level.
*Using camo you can snipe perfectly since the camo effect is off screen in snipe mode, however grenade and particle effects can still force the games framerate down. This is a forge issue in general and nothing i can alleviate*
-Terrible aesthetics i.e attempts to use lights which cause shocking lag, overuse of expensive and grotesue forge pieces which dont suit the layout, and often no attempt to conceal ugly details. Overall no attempt to recreate the familiar style of map Guardian was.
To make this map i comprimised as few details as possible, you will notice i have recreated every area as faithfully as possible, you may simply not believe the details and structure i have managed to recreate (only side by side would truly reveal this).
I used over 600 photographs and 30 mins of video footage to build this map to scale. There are some minor changes but none of which should in anyway remove from the experience.
My respawns are fairly accurate, intial spawns are rough and weapon placements are close substitutions for the original weapons. I would rather people tweaked these details accordingly to their own preference and make the layout work for them personally.
