And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

The marine is stupid, but he's not a coward, I mean, that ain't a good hiding place, but he has every right to be scared. Also, the marines who went with MC were still sane because they aren't all alone yet, and plus the MC was with them, so they had a significantly raised chance of living. And the flood scared the crap outta me when I first saw them, hell, I was shooting all around the place trying desperately to hit infection forms, I wouldn't let any of those horror show freaks (infection and combat forms alike) get near me.

Besides, the Chief is a spartan, he's far better at killing stuff than anyone else, if you read the books, he was actually pretty afraid. He's hardcore, so that's why he didn't "wig out and hide"

Johnson survived and I think he is disturbingly selfish for not sharing his hiding place with the only chance to survive on the entire floor.

Johnson survived just because hes a badass mofo. He didn't hide, he shot em' all to Hell.

I listen to everything he has to say...it gets pretty funny...sometimes I beat him over the head or just leave him alone.

That's what I'm saying: he deserted Johnson, he may not be a coward but my fist post is correct at least.

If anyone has read Halo: First Strike then you would all know that Johnson survived because he had a rare condition. The condition was brought on by an emense dose of plasma radiation emited from plasma grenade crates that he had captured, before Halo. His nervous system was already a mess because of it that the flood couldn't force a match and control him like so many marines and elites. So, in conclusion, he did fight till he was taken down but he survived the flood.

1/6/2010- A day that will live on in infamy.

The Man in Black fled across the desert, the Gunslinger followed.

I kill him now, usually by Needler.

But on my 1st time.I came thru the door, herd a pistol shot and backed off and hid 4 a sec.
Then I went thru and blazed my AR.......Later did I notice I killed a marine...

there will be no mercy for the weak...he left his men to die, and ran like a coward, instead of dieing an honorable and heroic death. Justice was served as a single bullet to the head...

I killed him. I tried to help him and he shot at me. So I shot him down with a pistol. But was it Johnson from the book?

  • 06.01.2006 9:02 AM PDT

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

When I first played I was relieved to see a friendly...then he wasn't so friendly!

Noiw I either run past him and continue the mission or listen to him and then give him a nice pistol butt mark to the head and take his ammo.

He wasn't a coward, I mean I know all of you guys were scared by just SEEING the flood for the first time, I know I was. But that dude not only saw floods, but he also witnessed the massacre of his fellow marines. He had every right to be scared, so that doesn't make ihm a coward.

But leaving him alone is like eating a chocolate chip cookie with one chocolate chip from the cookie on the table you are eating from. Why not just eat the spare chocolate chip? In this case, it's not going to hurt you in gameplay by killing him, so just kill him. But don't waste ammo, or grenades on him. He goes down with one melee attack, so just beat him to death. Then, "borrow" his M6D pistol ammo...

Well... I was actually a bit creeped out even before I saw the flood. I feel bungie began that level perfectly. The music. The environment and atmosphere. That marine really gave me a nice chill. Ofcourse the voice acting was a bit hammy but I'm yet to hear perfect voice acting a video game.
But seriously, I can understand having to control your fear normal combat situations, but I wouldn't blame anyone for going mental encountering the Flood. I mean these guys aren't Headcrab zombies. They're fast and can jump higher and longer than a Spartan. Not to mention the whipping tendrils.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

In the Book MC steals the guys gun and pushes him out of the room.

The first time through I just left him. At first I thought he just didn't recognize the MC, so I walked up closer to him. Big mistake. Those semi-armor piercing, high-explosive rounds can do some damage! With shields pretty much depleted I backed off and let him be. It was creepy to listen to all the things he said. You just knew the next part of the level would be something to remember.
The next time I played the level I pistol-whipped the poor guy because pistol ammo is hard to find! Using grenades on him just sounds excessive. ;)

The first time I was like "wow" and stood there, panicing. Then finally shot him. Then I just shot him the next few times through, then I started bursting into the room and double meleeing him and yelling "SHUT UP".

Ah, the crazy marine...good times that was.

I pump three AR magazines into his chest, I like to believe it's avoiding another infection.

That soldier didn't even know who you were, if you recall, I think he said something along the lines of: "Get back! I'm not gonna let you turn me into one of those things!"

He was nuts.

Anyways, I just shoot him in the head, put the poor guy out of his misery.
