Cant you format it? Or run some anti virus programs? I know a few that are free that could be usful. Also some anti spyware stuff (free also.) But formatting would be your best bet. What manufacturer did you buy your comp from?

Some manufacturers, like Dell, allow you to pop in your operating system CD (they package it in your documentation box), configure your BIOS to boot your CD-ROM first, and then the CD will run the format program itself. From there it will reinstall your OS.

We will now have a *insert number of Bungie accounts here* gun salute in favor of Xeroh, a great man, that was denied the use of his comp by viruses some anti-social, know-nothing probably threw together him/herself.

Yeah, try re-installing windows, you'll lose all your files but you'll also lose the viruses. Well I guess this is goodbye.....until we meet again.

I'll be on my own side.

i will miss your cynicism(it reminds me of me). oh and i thought i might point out that you spelled transmission wrong. and had you asked, there are many free antivirus programs that are effective, but if the comp wont work right, then i guess it wont help

I feel so sorry for you, Xeroh. I understand how you feel.

I have a similar problem, actually. I accidently removed the wrong registry key, so now windows won't start. And I don't know enough about computers to format or reinstall anything.
And before you ask, no restoring the registry won't work. Neither do boot disks. My father have tried everything he can think of, but it still doesn't work. And now he is too busy to try anything more.
Now I am sitting in fornt of my own computer in my room, which has an astounding 450 Mhz. But it is so infested with spyware and remains of old programs that it is way slower than that. And internet only works 60% of the time.
I can baraly play Baldur's Gate without lag
