Why are there people bashing the tune. It is one of the most well thought out pieces I have heard ever.

What would be the point of changing the theme. I want to hear the music that made me love the game even more. If it weren't for the perfect music in that trailer your emotions would not be nearly as high as when you see it.

The voices in the background make this scene look bigger and more important than any other cinematic yet.

I am sorry if you just think of it as an H2 remix but even so, what would fit this most important and symbolic scene to date.

My thanks goes out to all the people who made that music possible and who had the ideas that made that trailer that much better and in my opinion the music is just as important as the scene itself because like I said, without that perfect music it wouldn't be the same.

I love the piano key in the beginning because it is so soft yet is has an alerting sound of importance and that sound almost like voices humming fits the desolate look of destruction. Those beating frums ever so softly in the background could not be more loud.

When Cortana says she his shield and sword the heroic uplifting sound of hope chimes in with a touch of rememberance to the old tune that got us going which then leads right into the sound of an unsure fate(last piano keys) as if to make the MC seem alone and at daunting odds, as Cortana says your future.

And then all hell breaks loose as the main Battle Tune erupts as war machines fly by at a great rate of speed streaking toward this discovery as if it were urgent to get there yesterday and the object comes into full view(perfect timing)

All the music leading up to the silence before the light is an ingenious blend of music that somehow embodies the whole Halo World like never before. This is on a galactic scale and the music just makes the scene more dramatic and less of a battle scene as showing this is a huge event.

Just the music alone makes this even seems like the most important scene ever.

The piano before Cortnan say this is the way the world ends is a perfect ending(same as beginning) leading into that great piano mix for the logo.

Whoever doesn't give this music an 11 is a fool with no real music knowledge or knowledge of how music plays a key role in movie/action/trailers.

I mean I love the graphics but you can thank a computer more or less but the dude who did the music used his imagination to perfectly jacket this amazing scene in the perfect music melody.

From beginning to end the music can't be matched.

Great Job Music Dude.

P.S. Did anyone notice that Cortana looked more like a real person on the left and a computer on the right(center of screne) when she said I know your past but then flickered back to only the computer looking Cortana when she said Your future. I framed it to be sure so it is a toss up.

Also only in the beginnng when her particles break up and reform a little there is lettering in the background. Some more visible depending on frame. Reminds me of the type in the H2 Special Edition Booklet with that Truth message all coded. Probably junk but all the other times she is made of little squares.

I'm not bashing it, but the piano sounds like the music from Myth.

And the rest is very remixish.

Still like it, though.

and by remixish, you mean they reused the Halo theme.

the theme...

for Halo.

Of course, nobody complained when the same... damn... thing... was heard over and over in Star Wars.

just sayin...

Really, an uncommon fact is that the Marathon soundtrack can be played backwords, and you get about half the sountrack from halo 2. The same thing will probably be done for H3.

No matter what it sounds like, I think it fits the occasion perfectly. It fits all 3 feelings of the trailer.

1) Uncertainty 2) Dramatically 3) Importance

It definately makes the trailers seem like an actual event that most do want to see.

Just as many said, if the MC dies 1/3 of the way through I will be dissappointed that I spent all those hours playing the first 2 Halo's.

Maybe that is why you get to be the Arbiter. They are trying to wain us off of using the MC. :)

Also, the shock of him dying will be far less by then and I am sure a lot of people will not buy H4 if there is one.

I hate to say it but right now my feelings are if the MC dies i will lose interest in the series real quick. Who the hell wants to follow a character through countless battles and experiences to see him die at the end. Even for a good cause.

I just hope that is the MC that went back in time while the real MC is in the ARK.

The whole sequence can't be real and if t is, that can't be the ARK activation the rings just yet. It would rid the game of all it's enemies. Fighting the Flood for 2/3 of the game will be lame.

Sorry for going off the topic but it is my thread. HAHA

I hate to point this out... but once you play the game, and find out he dies (hypothetically speaking) wouldn't it be too late for you to lose interest? The story/game is over at that point :\

I mean in the long run. I have to finish the fight so to speak but it will fall from it's status of my favorite game for sure upon the MC's death.

If he dies I want it to be my doing.

I just couldn't pop in Halo CE and H2 just to know when I play H3 he dies.

I am sure a lot of people will play 1 through 3 after they beat H3 as like this big long battle all in one instead of having to wait 7 years to get them all.

I just feel I would not be interested in it anymore if I knew he dies in H3. I can't think of another series where they kill off the hero in an attemt to make the game better.

Just my feelings.
