Last night, I had a little think about what new things could be implemented in Halo 3, and so I thought about the maps.

Something that Halo 2 (or 1 for that matter) didn't have are Multiplayer maps that derive directly from Campaign maps.

Take for instance a "Midship" type level. It's completely sealed, and so there would appear to be no way in. If there was to be a hatch in the top and bottom in a level in Campaign (with a large room in the middle) then surely it would be different to implement this into Multiplayer? If both hatches were to be closed, then you could run around on a map that you'd already played in Campaign, but instead of killing Grunts, you're killing Spartans.

You could then use your new found experience in both Campaign and Multiplayer. You'd be able to utilise the map more efficiently if you'd played it in Multiplayer. Those Grunts would never know what hit 'em!

This could also be adapted into multiple situations; you could adapt almost any Campaign map into a Multiplayer map (no matter who small it would be).

Don't think that I'm saying all Multiplayer maps should come from Campaign maps, but I'd be a nice change.
