I've been having some trouble with this Cookie in that every so often it breaks and has problems leading into me not being able to sign into/browse Bungie.net until I remove this cookie from my browser. Its been happening since I started visiting this website back in 2005. Just wondering if a fix will ever be in the pipe.

Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."

Either permanently delete cookie or just wait till the new site update. I don't have any problems and it could mean a virus. I can't say for sure but if it was me, I would just delete it

I've never encountered this, and hopefully some sort of fix can be inbound for your sake. Until then, clear your cache/cookies as per usual.

Also, might wanna email this to Bungie's email used for site bugs.

Isn't there an option to not accept cookies from specific websites? I would use this, as it might fix the issue you're encountering.

With Firefox I checked it, you can mark it to where it'll only save the cookies on the website per session. Although, it might get annoying having to log in every time you start your web browser.

BNGAuth is the Windows Live ID cookie for the bungie.net domain. There isn't much we can do about it as our code is not the thing placing that cookie there (or reading it, for that matter).

The best thing you can do to prevent WLID from breaking is to not turn on "Save my password". This will have the effect of automatically signing you out when you close your browser window (it makes BNGAuth as well as the live.com WLID cookies expire at the end of your browser session). Not only that, but it is just a good security practice, even if you're the only one who ever uses your computer.

Another easy thing to do if you get stuck is to go to xbox.com or live.com and sign in there, and then sign out, and then close your browser. That often fixes the problem.

Since I need the BNGAuth cookie to log in, that wouldn't work

The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head, The thunder of the drums dictates
The rhythm of the falls, the number of dead's the rising of the horns, ahead
From the dawn of time to the end of days I will have to run, away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste of the blood on my lips, again

That has happened to me as well. It takes me to the sign in page but with an error message.

Who the hell do you think I am?

I don't believe I've ever encountered that problem.

I've tried this on my iPhone 4S, but it still won't let me sign into Bungie Mobile. Any ideas?

I never encountered this cookie before on bungie.net.
This, but I'm saving the thread in case this happens.

I've had this happen a ton...

Glad to finally be able to fix it.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I have a cheap old computer and bungie works like clockwork on it. It's prob a virus :/

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I used to have that problem all the time. I set my log in permissions to "always ask me for my email and password", stopped voting in polls altogether, and that seems to have fixed it. I have not had that log in error since 2007. The bug still persisted even when i'd try to log in to most other WLID sites. Forza, strangely enough was the only one that seemed to let me sign in.

Heavy weighs the crown, low hangs the head who wears it.

I occasionally have problems with that cookie (once a week or so). I just remove it and sign back in (I have it ask for my password every-time).
