Herroh. U have reached teh BOOGIE LAND

I have a high-speed internet connection (Comcast) and my internet does not have any setbacks. But for some reason, whenever I play Reach lag just gets at me and causes real confusion in the game.

The lag is so bad that I can't even see people killing me, kids with 0.3 kds look like they are strafing, and my teammates jump right in front of me to the other side of the map. When I pick up a weapon, it appears 10 seconds later and when I die my screen sometimes goes black for about 20 seconds.

Why am I laggy so much. I tried turning off my router to no prevail. I got a good internet connection and my Xbox is hooked by an eternet cable.

Either you play a lot of games with a terrible host, or your connection is not as good as you think.

Then Comcast sucks ass then. I have the best connection listed and my Internet runs really fast.

If the game is with a terrible host then why does everyone else not lag?

Derp.

Welcome to my profile......although there isn't much here.....or you're just stalking my information from some uncanny thread I posted in.....or created.

To be quite honest Comcast isn't that great. Everyone I know hates it because they get horrible connection, but that doesn't mean that happens to everyone. I use Frontier and have great speed but I find myself in laggy games sometimes. Go to http://www.speedtest.net/ to get a pretty accurate score of your connection. If your speed is fine then you're just having really bad luck and getting horrible hosts.

More than likely, it's a router issue if you're that confident in Comcast. Run your ethernet jumper directly to the modem instead of going through the router. If that doesn't fix your problem, you need an upgrade from your IP.

It's also possible that your ethernet cable isn't getting the job done. Try a different one. Possibly, you may need a cat6 cable instead of the cat5 that you're more than likely using.
