Subject: That "shaft" in Mail Sack se7en is not the original shaft?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Upon loking at older images, it can be seen that "the shaft" from the mail sack is different that the original "shaft"

mail sack shaft

The original Shaft

You can see from the picture that the E in the "new shaft" is different than the old shaft. There are also subtle differences in the letters.

Possibly, the shaft was edited or there are 2 shafts.

What do you think?

Maybe the letters faded so they wrote them on again? It could be a new one, it doesn't really matter though.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Mail Sack seve7n?

Anyway, it's a new and improved shaft. Capable of much more than it's predecessor. In the Mass Effect universe, it is also known as "The Crucible."

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

Maybe it's written on there...

*gasp*

twice, and you can't see both at the same time because they're on...

*gasp again*

opposite sides.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

We all know what the original "shaft" was.

They look the same to me, just photographed at different angles.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

The writing on the pipe looks the same to me.

So, the same person wrote "THE SHAFT" on a new pipe, or they added to the old one.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Plus the writing looks pretty similar to me...

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Only you would notice this, Skenny.

I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

I hate to ask, but are you honestly spending your time comparing Bungies shaft(s)? What even made you look at the old one to compare it to the new image?

So very random, dude!

(not bashing, legit question)

Seve7n should be Se7en if you're going for that look.

Personally, I think the shafts look the same, the picture is just taken from a different angle with different lighting. And, even if they are different, I don't think it's a huge deal; the idea of the shaft remains constant.

Answer is simple:

The original shaft had a child.

Hope this helps you rest easy at night.

Before you ban me, think to yourself. What would satan do? Satan would ban me, are you satan? If you ban me that makes you satan, satan.

I don't see the importance here. They're just "shafts" man

A little of topic but still, are we this bored now that we are discussing the difference in handwriting on the shaft?

Bungie you better release some info on the next game before we start murdering each other.
