because I like penis.

You can have an opinion, but it might not be taken into consideration or laughed at depending on what that opinion is.

If you're bad or not known, then your opinion is pretty worthless. However you're welcome to say whatever you want - you just have no credibility or backing for that opinion.

Which is what makes a good opinion.

Derp.

my opinion is just as wourthless ass that of a guy with a high k/d
Nope.

elaborate or your statement is invalid
Somebody who has a high k.d knows how to play the game well. Somebody who has a low k.d doesn't know how to play the game. Lets generalize for a bit, shall we? Ok lets say that you have a research paper and you have to use reliable sources. So do you use an academic source from an expert or do you go to some opinion/editorial on The New York Times. So if people took you seriously then we would live in an upside down world.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Yeah, you have an opinion. It's still a terrible one. You don't fully understand the game. How can you have a valid opinion when you only know your side of Reach? You have no idea what it's like in games which require a skill set more varied than what is needed in your loldefault or infection games.

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

It just means that you may not know how this game plays/works.

A sole reason the 343 forums need to be shut down.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

A bad K/D doesn't make your opinion invalid, it just associates you with people that do have invalid and illogical arguments based on those invalid and illogical opinions.

There's a correlation between your skill, and how much you genuinely know about the game.

Exactly, thus having a bad K/D makes it appear more likely that a player is unskilled and therefore is more likely to be associated with the crowd of people that generate casual, illogical, and dimwitted banter during an argument about a competitive aspect.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

I never understood that logic.

'I get shot and killed less than you, therefore my understanding of the game is far more than yours and my opinion is always better than yours'

I know how football works, but i couldnt play it to save my life

If i dont known everything about it, i could just look it up, and know pretty much everything about football, but not ever be able to play it

With that logic, why isn't any ordinary muscular guy a pro football player if they want to be? Why aren't you a Halo pro? If is really is as simple as looking it up on the internet, you should be, right?

Looking something up on the internet won't give someone sharper senses, better quick-thinking skills, etc...and knowledge on how to use those skills.

spiral out

No one's opinion matters. A group of opinions does. Sadly, this entire forum put together has no effect on Halo because 343 controls it, and their forum is filled with LD loving idiots.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

My facts are worth more than your opinions.

so what? i have a low k/d doesn't mean i don't have an opinion.

just wanted to get that point out

If your opinion has to do with gameplay then people will not take you seriously most of the time.

Explain to me how a high 50 game of Flag on the Pit would go, right now. You can't.

You could try to make an educated guess, but that doesn't mean you would be right. There are bad players who understand gameplay, but they have gotten that knowledge through a source outside of being good. Being good means you experience it first hand. You fully understand how different aspects of a game will affect the way the game plays.

Again, you don't have to be good to know what you're talking about. You do, however, need the knowledge. Without that, you'd just be making assumptions and guessing.

How do we know you're not one of those types of people? You like nobleedthrough. That right there says it all. From that, we now know that you do not have the knowledge required for your opinion to hold any weight. Proof? look at your stats.

That's a lie, I've been playing football my whole life, and now I coach the same High School I went to, and I still don't know everything. I guarantee if we took 2 similar teams and you used your knowledge learned by watching football and reading on the internet you would still lose.
I'm trying to get better at Halo by watching pro's and even the online guys that post their video's here, but the fact is until I play in those games I will never get as good as they are. Which makes their opinion on how a high level game plays better then mine.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

Your k/d is not necessarily reflective of your current skill level. I have a 0.9 k/d at the moment, but my past 25 games in all of the playlists I play is over 1.00. Really, in every game you play, someone's got to go negative for someone else to go positive. Furthermore, if your argument is logical and well thought out, then it's completely valid. Putting something into practice is great, but the knowledge is what matters in an argument. Let me put it in an example. You may be the worst baseball player on the planet, but may know everything there is to know about plays and statistics. You may not get involved with baseball as a player, but you could certainly get involved with baseball as a franchise. My point is, if you know what you're talking about, then there's no reason why people should disregard your opinion.

Do you really think going from a .9 to a 1.0 is some sort of big step? Do you really think it will vindicate you and make people actually care about your inexperienced and uneducated opinions?

The only time a good player has a K/D below 2.0 is when they play a lot of MLG or very very high level arena.

And do you want to know how many bad players out there who actually know what they're talking about exist?

Less than 10. You and the OP aren't one of them either.

  • 03.07.2012 3:04 PM PDT

So you want the world you are a -blam!- nub...Ok, well, time will only erase your stats and you....Hahaha.

  • 03.07.2012 3:37 PM PDT

PSR = (((K+A)/D)*Win%)*120
The average player's PSR = 100
