I would think at least 32, although 64 would be much better, then you could have huge battles. Or even best of all, just a persistent world mode where EVERYONE fights each other at once. Muhahaha

Prolly a maximum of 16, just like Halo 2. It's a good number and they should keep it that way.

Why do you need 64 people? 32 would be just fine, besides what are the chances of having 64 players in a party.

16? I would love 64 or even 100 but not if it severly affected the game quality and caused lots of lag....but 16 and i would be disappointed like many others. And yes i could get 64 in a party. How many times have you had where you gotta boot ppl because they arent speaking at that moment but still want them there to make room for others.

Bigger battles = Bigger lag. Big team battle is one of the least played playlists as it is.

The more people you include the greater amount of network issues you have occur. 64 on a LAN wouldnt be and issue, but over XBOX Live.... 16 can be bad enough on Halo 2 and I havent seen any major break throughs on network improvements, so 16 on Halo 3 wouldnt be that much different.

I agree that 16 should be the max. I play PC shooters that have 64 and above players and unless you are with a group of people then it is just everyone running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

I would like it to have 20 instead of 16.

Would dedicaed serves help? Then you could make sure everyone sees the same thing at the same time, no "host advantage" so to speak.

I say we could have as much as you think need.

Down, down to hell and say that I sent you there...

I came into the world with my legs forward and a woman cried "he was born with teeth!"

"I had no father I am like my father...I had no brother I am like my brother...And this word, "love" which old farts call divine be resident in men like you -blam!-. But not in me, I am my mother-blam!- self, alone."

You Are an Idiot

32 players max would be pretty fun. The problem with Perfect Dark Zero's 32 players is the maps are just too damned big. They originally made the maps for 64 people but then had to cut the number down to make the game at launch. If there were some maps like the size of BF2s maps or a little bigger, 32 wouldn't be a problem at all.

Can somebody confirm if BF2 on the Xbox 360 uses dedicated servers or not? Because I hardly experience any lag on that game at all and with full rooms all the time.

DEF NO MORE THEN 20!!! BUT 16 IS FINE!!! Worry bout the *BLAM*in gameplay not if theres 60 or 64 *BLAM*in players! Who the *BLAM cares! doesnt make a whole lot of difference anyway.

If they can make super huge maps... 64 players should be really nice !!! if not, 16 player will be enough. I dont want to have a mega lag and get kill alway on my spawn.12 players max for matchmaking. And 64 for custom games.

I agree 64 for ppl would be bad especialy if you got some ppl who are still using POTS or better known as dial up at a 56kb/s connection speed. I play BF2 and its bad enough that half the people who play it for PC can barely run it on there own computer! Let alone online and playing in 32 player maps in which the lag is horrible. 16 to 32 players at the moment is the best bet for halo 3 online.
