Subject: Would you pay monthly for a Bungie game?

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

BUngie won't be doing an MMO, it's actually a very stupid move to do yah know.

There is already hundreds of them. some not so big, some huge! SWTOR, WOW, the future TERA Online which is meant to be very awesome and a few other popular ones or soon to be popular.

Bungie isn't going to make an MMO, I think it will be more like Skyrim, an open world, or heck, an open universe game maybe greater then Mass Effect.

What makes you say this. Just because you think it is a stupid move is not proof of anything. Most of the clues that we have been given have all pointed towards some kind mmo. I honestly can't be sure what they are going to do. But, I do know it would be foolish to try and rule out anything until Bungie actually confirms it.

It depends on the game.

If I was a PC gamer maybe. Other than that, no.

Tin shacks and catfish bones.

No, I'm not a fan of the pay to play games (aside from the initial purchase of the game). This is true for any company not just Bungie.

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

Nope. Stuff like Call of Duty elite and such are stupid ideas for greedy companies. They're already making a killing off of their best seller games, and then decide that they need even more.

If it's required to play their new game, then I just won't get it. I'm not a blind fan, I won't buy anything and pay anything just because it has a Bungie logo on it.

Considering the Subscription model is for pure profit in the case of MMOs, likely not, unless the game looked really good.

Would you pay monthly for a Bungie game?
No, and I don't play MMOs for that reason.

GGGGGGggggggggggggGGGG

No, that would be a complete scam. I'm not paying infinite money for infinite usage of a game I should rightly own.

Yeah. But it better be the single greatest game I have ever played in my entire life. Ever.

Just to play the game? Like WoW? No, probably not. For premium services or optional content, maybe.

I voted 'No'.

Whilst I can understand that a developer needs to pay their employees, I always understood it to be that the money made from the sale of the game tends to pool into the 'income' section for a developer.

Whilst I agree that a person is entitled to ownership of their ideas, and should have the right to determine how those ideas might be used, the game industry already ensures this due process.

Pay to play would potentially ensure long term revenue for the developer, but to me, it seems a little 'greedy'. Perhaps I'm misinformed, so I'm open to different opinions.

Admittedly, if I really liked the game, I'd consider paying to play it, but only in an online sense. If I'm expected to pay for single player, then I won't be paying for anything at all.

EDIT:

This is reasonably fair, but the premium content would need to be comprised of completely new features; I will not pay for content that was previously free.

Yes definitely, as long as the subscription price is realistic.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

No. I like to be able to buy a game and not have to worry about it siphoning the rest of my money out of me.

It's my barb---err action figure and I will dress him how I please.

I have never paid a monthly fee for a game and I plan to keep it that way.
