We all know it's bad.

But which level is the worst (on legendary)?

IMO, Exodus was the worst. Every time I poke my head out I get spiked by focus rifles and beamed by spikers. And there are no elites D:

I actually incredibly despise the Reach campaign now that I've started on legendary (I did finish heroic quite a while ago). The enemies force you to use a very specific gun combo (eg. NR for brutes, DMR/magnum + pp for elites), vehicle combat is abhorrent, and jackals are worse than ever.

But it is by far the most tedious and campy campaign.

Half the time I sit in one spot on a single red bar of health. And the enemies NEVER MOVE. In CE, they ran at you and they felt real and ferocious. In this, they felt like idiots and cowards.

And when I'm in a scorpion I practically get one shotted by plasma rifles.

THAT GODDAMN FLYING LEVEL!!!

I solo legendaried the entire campaign in about 6 hours of game time the day it came out.

I found it more satisfyingly difficult as opposed to the milk that was Halo 3 and ODST or the frustrating Halo 2. More like Halo:CE but a little lower on the volume knob.

Lol IMO the flying level was the easiest (apart from Nightfall ofc).

I don't know how you guys can do it so quick. The level 'The Package' takes ages.

IMO Halo 3's was better. ODST was too short. And Halo 2's was worse than Reach's.

The package takes about 20-25 mins on legendary. As for hardest probably long night of solace.

The campaign was lifeless, boring and was like a hard day at work. Kind of like a COD campaign. It was like Bungie thought that they couldn't be bothered with it. Guess I'm not bothered about buying there next game either.

  • 03.08.2012 3:34 AM PDT

How can you possibly finish all those waves of covies in 20 min?

Long Night of Solace was easy lol you just need a Plasma Pistol.

  • 03.08.2012 3:34 AM PDT

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

This. Didn't even have to resort to the plasma pistol, or any other plasma weapons for that matter.

Was disappointed.

LNOS takes the longest by far, as there are really no skips you can exploit. Its probably the most difficult as well since there are so many elites in this level. Exodus isnt hard at all, you just need to know the skips and strategies to deal with certain enemies. Package is the same way, you just need to learn where the enemies are when your in the tank so nobody surprises you.

Stay on topic people! The forum is about the hardest campaign on legendary, not wether the campaign is better than other ones. In my opinion, the hardest on legendary is The Package, especialy when you are defending Halsey's base. there is almost nowhere to run once your shields are down, and the one way to make it easier(hijack a banshee) means you expose yourself as you have to jet-pack up above the covenant, making you an easy shot, especialy for jackal snipers. Damn jackals...

Why would you even pick up the sniper on any mythic run (aside nightfall)

There are no jackal snipers whilst defending the lab, and you can skyjack a banshee way before the enemies are dropped off

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

LNoS and Exodus are hardest.

PoA gave me the worst time after dropping Cortana off... but I got it!

Halo 2 legendary takes a dump of pure ferocity on the reach legendary campaign. that being said, I can complete them both easily. its all about figuring out the movement patterns of the enemies you are facing.
