I'd rather have Marty working on Halo than Destiny.

This one is but flesh and faith, and is the more deluded.

Sure, I'm deluded for having a different opinion.

you are deluded for having stupid opinions

LOL, explain yourself then. How is my opinion (for wanting Marty - who's worked on every Halo game thus far - to keep working on Halo) stupid?

It's more naïve than stupid because Marty not only made the music for every Halo game, but also for Myth, Myth II and Oni. He works for Bungie since 1997. Why should he leave a company he has worked for for 15 years? Just because of Halo? He certainly doesn't want to make music for Halo for his whole life like the other Bungie employees certainly don't want to develop Halo games for their whole life.

Marty O'Donnell is a legend... it would be a shame if he didn't compose for Halo 4. Some of his music makes me stop in the midst of an epic fight, and step back a bit to listen. I pray that he makes the music for Halo 4, it just wouldn't be the same without his music.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

The same reason why the other Bungie members went to 343 - they love Halo. That's not naive.

Well there aren't that many former Bungie employees at 343. Out of the 200+ employees seven are ex-Bungie employees and out of them only two actually worked on ingame content.

Expressing my strong liberal views without shame. Favorite quotes below:

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."
"One starts to live when he can live outside himself."

- Albert Einstein

From that First Look into Halo 4, the audio seems to be coming along nicely. It sounds "Halo" while having its distinct tone.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

You know...Marty has his own group. Of which he (infrequently) spawns a Q&A. You could've just asked him there. Or just checked the old Q&A's, which have the answers you were seeking.

Yes he is still working with Bungie, it is unknown if he is making the soundtrack for their next game.

Marty is our Audio Director, and our composer. You might not be able to hear it, but he's scoring this post right now.

It's comforting to know that although Urk isn't doing the weekly updates any more, that he is still with us in the forums.
