No, CE sucked with Reach MP for me. Only the new kids will like it, for the most part imo. The only way to get the H2 feel is to use the H2 engine.People tend to throw around the term "engine" when they don't really even know what it means.
Anniversary's multiplayer was inside Reach, not just its engine. A game and an engine are two completely separate things. You can edit an engine to make it work any way you want when developing a game. The engine is the back bone of any sort of game. Halo 2 could definitely be replicated (with a few extra glitches/loss of glitches in certain places.) You can mold an engine to do pretty much anything you want. That's why people were beyond ignorant when they freaked out about Halo 4 using a modified Reach engine.
If you want to see some examples of how games running on the exact same engine can differ, you can look here.
Halo 2's engine was greatly flawed in many respects. While the flaws lead to beloved (I love them as well) glitches like super bouncing/button combos, they would add great difficulty to anyone who wants to remake the game with improved graphics. You could just give it the 1920x1080, higher resolution textures, and anti-alising; the problem with that is you wouldn't be able to have the graphics that Anniversary had without editing the engine its self. That would lead to a certain glitches not being there and other miscellaneous things people would complain about.
One thing they could do is go the route of Anniversary campaign. Hopefully they could pull that off in multiplayer flawless while making sure everything is balanced for both players.Bottom line, CE sucked using whatever from Reach. If they do it the same in H2 as they did in CE, then no.
