Would you use a The Maw teamspeak or vent server to go with Igg's The Maw gatehrings? I got so used to talking and not typing that I'm dying to get one hosted for you not random pukes, but I need to know how many of you would utilize it :)

Whenever I go to the Maw Gatherings, I go to Iggwilv's TeamSpeak2 Server.

Yes there is a Maw Teamspeak server that came with the server. The address and port are: ts20.clanservers.com:8824. It's always on so feel free to jump in and use it. Now that I picked my mic up off the floor I might use it while playing. Although I ask you please set a button to talk, don't use voice activation; it keyes the mic everytime you shift your seat or fart.

I just went to the Teamspeak website and found that they have TeamSpeex (unofficial) for Mac.

I also checked out the Ventrilo site. Seem about the same, but it seems like TeamSpeex is more game oriented.

What kind of headset do you reccomend?

Can you use just a mic and have the sound come through the desktop speakers? If you use a headset, can you have the chat go to the headset and the game sounds go to your speakers?

You can use whatever mic you want (I use iMac's), but do use headphones, otherwise other people will hear their voices through your speakers, horribly delayed :-)

I use either a pair of AKG 240 (you can wear them for hours and you are still comfortable) or a pair of Koss PortaPro.

I have my PSP headphones hooked up, very uncomfy but I live with it, otherwise Halo runs on my 5.1 stereo... I use push to talk so that people don't here annoying echos either way though
