Anyone else think blowing up a bunker where an enemy team are holed up would be cool?

Perhaps an airstrike, multiplayer pelican fun with bunker busters, or a covenant particle weapon of some sort?

Make it fair, the base could be defended with turrets, surface to air missiles etc. to block incoming fire and aircraft. Maybe have some automatic turrets?

Maybe have destructible walls, ceilings etc. and the ability to leave huge smoking craters in the playing field!

Buildings could be shielded, or reinforced so not all are there to blow up. But if power was knocked out, shields go down as do anti aircraft defenses. I'm not talking hugely complex systems or anything, this is Halo and it's all about the run and gun gameplay, but it would add something to shout "incoming!!" as a bomb was about to take out your base.

I can think of nothing better than being able to blow holes in a concrete wall, used as cover by a spawn sniper, with a large calibre weapon then blasting him to crap. Or lobbing some grenades into a pill-box and watching the panic as the enemy attempt to escape the collapsing roof.

Yes.

Example: Walls have holes blown in them when shot by a tank.

Kind of busy at the moment so I'll post more later.

to an extent. Maybe there could be holes or huge gaps but it would be really stupid if your base just blew up.

That would work for a lot of games (specifically WWII shooters), but I think that would take some of the point out of the game. Imagine: Zanzibar in which the sea wall is destructible. Either you waste ammo or it's too easy to destroy. I would, however, like to see more of the environment-specific items like to destroyable stalactites on Waterworks.

"Bury Him"
"He's not dead"
"Oh?" walks over unholstering sidearm, and fires. "Bury him now"

I think everything should be destructable, even mounds, but that'd be a waste of processing power. For example, if a ctf team were hiding in a base with our flag and we had theirs, we could bomb the base constantly with thousands of bullets and grenades and tank rounds and eventually punch through... that'd be cool,.

I think it would be cool if you could make holes in walls and then escape through them with a flag. Take Zanzibar for example. YOu could blow a hole in the wall of the stairwell in the defense base and escape through the with the flag. Blowing a hole in the wall would need to be a tad difficult so it wouldn't unbalance the game to bad though.
