I thought of a great idea for a halo 3 map. It would be a remake of "The Dock" from matrix revolutions. Think of it: a giant underground cavern, kind of like waterworks. However, instead of rocks and bases, it would be all metallic, with 2 levels, and an infinite fall to the bottom. Plus, there would be a lot of banshees and other new aircraft, as well as a multitude of tanks and other things. It would be cool

an infinite fall? sounds pretty lame, I hope bungie doesent copy off of other stuff such as crummy movies for ideas, face it the second and third matrix were absolute crap none of those ideas deserve to be in halo.

While they did not meet the quality of the first, i think "absolute crap" is a little harsh. And with the exception to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, the battle for the docks is one of the best battles i have ever seen. A Halo 3 version would be amazing.

Think about it; you know the tunnels the drills made? They would have a small room up at the top, connecting the two. The room would lead to an upper figher bay, with banshees, phantoms, and other cool aircrafts. Each tunnel would lead to a grav lift, one that goes up, and one that goes down. In Assault and CTF, it would be the attacking base.

The grav lifts would come out of the holes and go down to the docks. the docks would consist of a two-level ring, with 8 bridges that convenrge on the center. At the center would be a giant tower, most likely 4 stories, with at least two turrets per floor. There would also be a stockpile of munitions within. in assault and CTF, it would be the defending base.

There would be mutliple scorpion tanks just outside of the tower, as well as a few fighters that would respawn on landign platforms on the edge of the ring. If there is a walker vehicle in Halo 3, there would be multiple walkers here.

Also, in addition to the two levels of the ring, there would be a layer in between and around it made up of a tunnel network. Just like in reloaded, it would have a bunch of peepholes to peek out of. The network would span about halfway up the wall, and maybe, ther might be some sorf of way to use the tunnels to reach the attacking base.

If i actually had some artistic skills, i would draw a depiction, but i hope this description is adequate. So, what do you guys think?

hmmm...sounds like a good idea but i wouldn't want to see it the same or even vaguely familiar the "The Dock" in The Matrix. However, the core idea is sounds pretty awesome.
