Hey Follow me on twitter!

I really dont have a problem with it unless people just spam it over and over and over again. I wish EMP would take you out of armor lock, that would make it okay in my book

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Why the -blam!- is this even a thread? OP is either retarded or trolling.

Seriously.

~ Videogames are my favorite videogames ~

Well, it was useful for defense at least.

Quit whining about armor lock. Just because you suck doesn't mean armor lock is a bad ability. I didn't use to use it, but now I use it almost exclusively primarily due to the fact that it helps prevent one from getting bull-$hitted by thermonuclear grenade spammers who have terrible aim and are bailed out by Reach's pity algorithym. I have seen the absolute worst grenade throws ever completely devastate me, while I have precision throws not even affect my opponent. Armor lock is useful primarily to prevent noobs from getting damage or kills that they don't deserve.

Now, armor lock is not perfect. My armor lock oftentimes is polite to my opponents, and waits til their attack is completed to activate, as opposed to activating when I press the damn button.

I'm about as slightly above average as you can get.

I would first like to say that I am proud to have a grand total of 0 rejections in matchmaking, though I have had previous experience using it back when I didn't have an xbox and only played at my friend's house.

I personally dislike it because if playing with a full party against randoms isn't unfair enough, armor lock makes it enough. Often, you see people in the same party (or randoms that cooperate well) double teaming with armor lock, one person going into armor lock when they are about to die while the other finishes the guy off. To me, this is entirely unfair to the solo guy, who will only win if the teamers suck, he/she has extraordinary skill/experience, or his/her teammates come to bail him/her out. Other times, when you break the opponent's shields, he/she goes into armor lock and forces you to wait/leave, or his/her teammates come to bail him/her out. Finally, if dodging rockets isn't enough, armor lock allows players to easily kill opponents using the sword, which is already possible using a more skilled method, parrying. While I'm not for sword noobs, but I don't think this is fair method (my recommendation is that the armor lock emp is absorbed by the sword, effectively negating it) either way.

In my opinion (though I'm sure that many will disagree), is that armor lock should only allowed in playlists with vehicles, as armor lock can be effectively/honorably be used to stop vehicle noobs.
