So after the death of Tartarus in Halo 2, was there ever another Chieftain of the Brutes? I mean the big daddy, the highest chieftain. Do you think perhaps one of the chieftains in the battle for the Ark's control room may have been the newest Chieftain of the Brutes, assigned to defend Truth?

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Halo wiki said that it's possible that the chieftain who stood by truth at the end if the covenant could have been the new chieftain of the brutes, personally I don't think there was ever a new one, since the council or whoever wouldn't have had enough time to appoint a new one

Yes but not an proper one as they did not have enough time to appoint proper one.

The Ark's Chieftain? You mean the one that can't even open the door? xD Many times, I have found him dead at the door all because I chose not to show myself to him.

I think the one at the Citadel could have been the Chieftain of the Brutes because he is the only one I've ever seen super jumping and it would be reasonable for Truth to bring the Chieftain of the Brutes with him.

What? All Chieftains can super jump.

If there were a new Chieftain of Chieftains, I imagine it would have been the one in the Citadel. He was a pushover compared to Tartarus, though.

That's just a standard leap. I'm talking about jumping across bridges, from one end to the other. About this long. I've only seen it twice.

And yeah, the H3 Chieftains were pathetic in cqc. It's just a shame that Bungie's reaction to exploiting this weakness in Reach was to merely cut off the ability to assassinate them if detected. I'd have advocated merely increasing the melee radius for the hammer, like the sword in CE.
